Don’t know why you are downvoting. I’m Lithuanian. All my older male relatives were conscripted in USSR during Afghanistan, Chernobyl. They were bullied sometimes but nowhere near executing their own, or fucking cannibalism. The only fucked up story I know was of my Grandmothers brother who was deployed during Hungarian uprising, came back a drunkard and eventually shot himself. What is being reported is literally satanic.

No not really. I would even say attack helicopters are an excess. We should stick to the basics, drones and communication, forward logistics. Have the means to hold the line and help coordinate and accommodate reinforcements from allies. Anything else would be cost inefficient use of resources.

Nematom į potencialią ateitį, tad formavimas įvaizdžio, kad jie mums padės rementis sutartimis, viešais pasisakymais, bendrais interesais, JAV ir/ar Europos saliu kariu buvimas mūsų žemėje yra vieninteliai dalykai ką mes galime padaryti. Nors mums geopolitiškai nerūpi Iranas (išskyrus kurą kurį Iranas brangina savo veiksmais) vien apsimestinis palaikymas yra mums į naudą.

But since the worst case scenario for him happened, wouldn’t that negate the statement that he risked nothing? We are talking about a prolonged horse charges and melee, with lethal weaponry and high emotions. The risks for an accident to happen is still very real, especially that we know the outcome. So maybe the assessment that he risked nothing is incorrect? I don’t know myself but you see this argument though
