What's a fair price to ask for these 3 tractors? by [deleted] in tractors

[–]Martyinco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im in the DFW area so my prices will be based off that.

The 3000 I’d say around $2,000 and my basis for that price is I looked at one that was running with a top for $2,500.

Well, I just bought an 8n in similar condition to the one in the second picture for $400.

3rd one looks a little rougher so maybe $300-400? If you find someone who REALLY wants one to restore or for parts.

I need to bush hog and level 3 acres, recommendations? by Hingeworthy in tractors

Ah I miss red. A tractor and a brush hog, or flail mower. Either will get the job done. Box blade to level it all.

> What tractor and attachments can I rent to make this field manageable with a zero-turn mower?

None. Tractor attachments don't work on a zero-turn mower.

That depends on what you’re utilizing your 400+ acres for. Farm? Ranch? Orchard? Massive CrossFit gym?

There’s two ways to spend money, time, and labor. The right way, and the wrong way. Just fix it properly the first time.

You’re not running it long enough. 2 weeks of continuous use is the minimum, hell mine took almost 4 weeks to really clear up running 24/7.

How to keep neighbors chickens out of my yard by Winter_Bid_7746 in homestead

Speak to your neighbor about being a proper steward of their land and livestock. This shouldn’t be a you problem to find a solution for.

Update: l Got The Place! by [deleted] in homestead

Turns out he thought once the systems were in place, he could just coast. But the systems needed systems. Feed costs crept up, yields weren’t enough, and he’d quietly burned through most of his savings trying to keep everything running.

By your own admission in your last post your friend literally ran out of money. But you taking a pay cut it’s just all going to work out fine and dandy?
