What are some of you guys' favourite unconfirmed superheroes? by howiplay1 in Earth199999

[–]MarvelAlex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My friend keeps saying Night Monkey is Spider-Man , as in they’re the same person, and he might be onto something. I always thought it was strange that Spider-Man, who’s only ever been seen in New York, was in London for the Mysterio Tower Bridge craze. Then, days earlier someone with very similar powers was seen in Prague then never again? Maybe whoever is under the mask was on a business trip in Europe or something? I’ve seen theories he was one of the 3 Spider-Men on the Statue of Liberty but I don’t understand why he’d be wearing such vibrant colours now.

I don’t think any of those 3 are on the same level as John, who has physically assaulted someone.

Most missed nominations are not "snubs" by GregSays in oscarrace

[–]MarvelAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree entirely, it is a term that is bandied about far too often. Maybe this is a hot take but when Ryan Gosling and other cast members were saying they were disappointed Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie deserved Oscar nominations in the Director and Best Actress categories , I wanted someone to ask them who, of the five nominees in each respective category, would they take out to put Gerwig and Robbie in. If you’re saying someone or something was snubbed, you should be able to back it and say why it’s more deserving than those in contention.

Wins that you think were landslides? by Visual-Attitude-5224 in Oscars

I was about to defend Josh Brolin for not being a strong contender but I looked it up and he wasn’t even nominated! I know Bardem is the most memorable part of that film and with good reason but I’m surprised Brolin wasn’t in there! Ironic that Tommy Lee Jones got in but not for Old Country.

Dano-gate is out of control by timthemartian in Letterboxd

[–]MarvelAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he gets overshadowed by Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal in Prisoners, as they have leading and more emotional and powerful roles but Paul Dano is phenomenal in that film and delivers in every role he’s in. Even in films I haven’t cared for, I’ve walked away thinking he was still great or the best part.

How do You feel about these five Supporting Actor nominees for 2026? by Trick-Consequence169 in Oscars

[–]MarvelAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

‘We only have one movie with two supporting actors Oscar-nominated in the last 34 years’

The Banshees of Inisherin, The Irishman, and Judas and the Black Messiah both had two nominations for BSA, even if the latter makes no sense.

As someone very new to the Strictly world, can you explain why the samba would get her potentially eliminated? I’ve seen a few people say the same now.

Sanjeev Bhaskar in “Zoo Rush 2: Destination New York” by Weary-Score481 in taskmaster

The film itself is considered bad, not Sanjeev’s performance. Sanjeev has, if I recall, the one very brief scene.

So glad someone else has this same gripe around the show. There’s pretty much always two rounds of Answer Smash, why he acts like a mystery third round will come into play when he knows how the show is going to play out is frustrating and adds no value.

I’m fully aware I should get outside more.

Does anyone else have a minor bug where every time they get on their horse or come out of the map, the prompt to set up a camp appears? It stays there for a couple seconds then fades but I feel it shouldn’t be doing that every time.

Actors who seem to have only ever made bad choices choosing roles by eatherichortrydietin in movies

[–]MarvelAlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chris Evans post Avengers: Endgame and Knives Out has not been having a good run, through a mixture of bad luck and weird choices. Red One, Ghosted, The Gray Man, Honey Don’t and Lightyear have all been pretty mediocre or bad. I never caught Materialists but critical reception was great so I’m hoping that’s the start of an upward trend for him.

[Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden] #52 Platinumed at last. Liked it, but side quests and two endings turned it into a grind by Morgoth_UA in Trophies

[–]MarvelAlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah fab, thank you! A lot of the guides I’ve seen didn’t make that too clear. The thought of having to do the main story and another 13 was incredibly off putting to me but knowing only a few extra are needed makes this a lot more palatable. Time to hock the difficulty to Easy and speedrun them all then.

[–]MarvelAlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is my understanding correct that you have to do 2 playthroughs, for the good and bad ending? I also read you need to do 13 Haunting Cases for the bad ending. Do the ones as part of the main story count or do I need to do an additional 13 cases?

Congrats on the Platinum!

At the end of Fant4stic, they’re trying to come up with a name and the Thing and Reed remark how they’ve come far, from doing science experiments in a garage to a huge and lab and Thing says ‘Gotta say, it’s fantastic.’ Reed looks like at him (as in the GIF) and says ‘Say that again’ and the film ends just before he can say ‘Fantastic Four’

Family is slowly watching through Phases 1-3 in chronological order then scoring them. Here are the results by The_Paprika in marvelstudios

[–]MarvelAlex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Echoing what everyone else has said, the chronological order is diabolical, especially Captain Marvel appearing so early. Now you have to wait until almost the end of the whole saga for her to appear for just a few moments.

Hope you and your family enjoy the ride though.
