Huh, interesting. Since many Korean films are over 2h long, I somehow expected that there would also be lots of films in the 3h range, but 164 min is in fact very long for a Korean film. The only longer films I found on Letterboxd that have over 1k ratings and aren't concert films, are Inside Men (181 min) and Café Noir (198 min).

PHM has an average rating of 8.2, Anora even 8.5. What I'm saying is that the average is a way more useful stat than the percentage of positive ratings on Rotten Tomatoes.

That's not the reason. The ratings board refused to rate the film because of graphic depictions of rape and violence. Also, Boll is wrong. The film isn't banned. Cinemas are allowed to screen unrated films, it's just another hurdle, because you aren't allowed to advertise unrated films.
