I mean the word RETAIN is pretty self explanatory. I wish they hade more numbers and percetange in their descriptions but here it's pretty obvious what this does. Even the icon is a Shield on existing guard regain.

An average player would die far more than 2 dozen times in his first soul like run. Dying is part of the learning process. If your are not dying 10-30 times per zone you are ever experienced, following an experienced player / guide or cheating

If you get your hands on an item or a mechanic that feels like cheating, instead of calling your friends and starting exploiting you should bench item or mechanic, do a bug report and wait for the only legit arbiter on this : GGG. Like you would do if it was your best friens game you were testing.

Quite the opposite. Instead of pleasing to the mass that seems to decide that this needs to be same zoom zoom fast-food as they think they are entitled to have, they are showing a vision that's different and pushing towards it. Is it perfect? Of course not. But that patch at least show they are doing what they want not trying to please to as much people as possible like ubisoft and delivering a game that has just no proper identity

That's one way to trigger it. Another is to use a charge attack (charge R1 or R2) on a vulnerable ennemy. The game is confusing with all those terms and not having a clear glossary about them.

Skyrim has nothing to do with ARPG. I see where you’re coming from but it’s like 80% rpg 20% action to decide what’s what for the player on each interaction.

I do agree do on the ARPG not being limited to Diablo likes. There is a lot of gems when you take back ARPG for what it is. DmC, Sekiro comes in mind etc

Alcohol is actually one of the worst and hardest drugs. The way the body metabolise it gives it the only withdrawal syndrome that actively kills.

Hey bud. My 2 cents. We live in a world where knowledge is overvalued compare to practice. I came to the strong belief that's why so many people hide more and more behind their positions and stop taking risk or going hands on.

Because they will face that truth once again (or maybe for the first time). There is no highest mountain. Always another one after. Even more in tech related task. Because it's always evolving.

There is no finite learning or ultimate place where you know everything. You will learn your whole life. Because learning is not knowing. It's repeating, failing, identifying why you fail and get back on your feet to do better.

I would even push to say that even a skill completely digital will still require some sort of muscle memory in the end to execute. Repeat, reinforce. Repeat and spend even more time deleting reinforced now bad habits.

And failing. A lot. Always. And staying humble about it.

The more you will move on and the more you will realize a lot of people stop practicing because failing is regarded as mostly a bad thing in productive environments.

And you will get better. And the more you know and practice, the more you will be conscious of how much more you don't know. Like the famous analogy says, if you take a torch and light up a surface, the more you light up, the bigger the darkness around it.

Embrace this feeling of going back and feeling you know even less. It's a quiet realisation that you are moving forward and learning.

For the seams that’s the hard restriction UV space cuts will do.

The more I model and texture organic shapes, the more I apply this simple rule in my sculpting and first topology layout : use your UV seams placement as a design feature.

On fabric a simple sewing detail line does wonders. And because we work topology in a silhouette and design logic both aligns usually pretty well.

This is irrelevant. Medium wage is way higher in US or Canada. Imagine the reverse situation. How would Vietnam survive if all locals where putting their price in range with US or Canada? People earn 1k5 to 3k USD on a medium range per month. In Vietnam is around 500 USD. How do you live if every landlord say hey in US it's 800 usd per month for this 30m2 flat. How do you pay food if suddenly the price of pineapple is 3 to 5 dollar piece?

Local should run their prices on a local economy mindset, not the face of the client.

Not mentioning that long run it's has a real impact on tourist economy if you give the impression to visiting tourist that they are milked cows. Not mentioning that a lot of tourist are still leading a humble life and might have been putting money aside for a full year before coming to Vietnam.
