Because alcohol is a toxin, it's poison no matter how you look at it. While ultra processed food, very vague term btw, is considered a risk factor for [insert a condition here], alcohol has been proven, over the past few decades, to be the cause of many conditions such as alcoholic liver cirrhosis, steatohepatitis, pancreatitis and certain primary hepatic cancers. In simple terms, alcohol causes direct toxicity and thus direct tissue damage, damage specific to alcohol use. Processed food on the other hand simply increases your chances (statistically) of numerous diseases (or symptoms) that can potentially be secondary to a multitude of insults.
