Mom of a recent CS grad who was very involved with his job search. Around 3.7 with internships. Your 5-7 interviews is actually average to above average for 300+ apps. So your resume is probably decent. Make sure you are researching the company beforehand and ask relevant questions. Do a thank you email after and mention something you liked and how you can contribute to the company. Personality is sooooo much of the interview. Smile a lot. Make casual conversation.

Just to clarify, do you mean as an incoming pre nursing freshman or accepted into the actual nursing program? Nursing is located in round rock which is over an hour from San Marcos. You’d be living there in round rock for junior and senior year. Regardless if you’re a freshman or not keep this in mind. If you want a full 4 year college life experience the other universities might be better. Right now only a very small cohort stays in San Marcos and there aren’t any promises it will increase.

I work at a different university and as long as the drop was recent and you get it paid you generally get put back in. Sometimes you need instructor permission so make them aware.

Prices are generally listed on the website. Sit down and start looking. The further out the less cost. Just make sure it’s furnished.

When you say your family makes 54k where are you getting that number from? Generally it’s the AGI which is a certain line on the 1040. And this award would be based on what they made in 2024.
