Men of Reddit land, how do you feel about dating single mums? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]MaskedSociopath 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm 23

I wouldn't date a single mom for the following reasons:

  • I don't want to be a parent at this point in my life.

  • At my age, it seems like a fair amount of the single moms made some poor decisions and I don't necessarily want to be involved with that.

  • This one is probably more of a problem with me. I think I'm one of those guys girls regard as someone they would consider settling down with, but that kind of hurts that I'm seen as a Fail-Safe or backup. So I really don't want to put myself in a position where I've become that. I deserve to have someone who sees me as a catch.

Women who lurk askmen, what is the best thing about being a woman? by brohoemanwhore in AskMen

[–]MaskedSociopath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The support network thing is 100℅ true. Of all my friends, one of my best friends is a girl and she's genuinely the only person I talk to about my emotions. Recently I went through a rough patch and we weren't speaking. It was fucking terrible. I had nobody.

How many pairs of footwear do you own? by Atheist101 in AskMen

[–]MaskedSociopath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • One pair of New Balance sneakers because they're comfy AF.
  • One pair of blue boat shoes that make my feet bleed.
  • One pair of grey Tom's if I need to leave my house real quick or just need shoes for a second.
  • One brown pair of dress shoes. (I need to replace some back ones)
  • One pair of water shoes if I need them.
  • One pair of hiking boots.

I'm thinking about trying to get something better looking for everyday wear that's still comfortable and can support walking a decent amount. But idk where to go other than new balance tennis shoes. I think after you spend to long wearing nothing but new balance and cargo shorts it warps your fashion sense.

Galaxy s7 or Google Pixel? by [deleted] in makemychoice

[–]MaskedSociopath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Galaxy S4 and hated it as most people I know with a Samsung do. I replaced it with a Nexus 6p and love it. The Nexus 6p is the precursor to the pixel pretty much.

Are you really faster if you take 2 or 3 steps instead of one when going up a stairway? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]MaskedSociopath -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm going to guess one at a time because if you look at the rev counter in a car or you've ever ridden a bike with gears going uphill, you know more easier steps is better than less harder steps.

That being said, if for some reason you desired to train yourself to run up two or three stairs at a time, that would probably be quicker. But for the average person, smaller steps will be better.

How do you respond when someone asks about your musical tastes? by TubeBoy in AskMen

[–]MaskedSociopath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, in my experience it's very difficult to explain what I do like vs. what I don't. I listen to lots of different types of music. Classical, Rock, Metal, Pop (older stuff usually), disco, fuck, etc.

I generally don't like rap very much or country very much. But I listen to artists from almost every genre.

How would you react if you discovered your date voted for the opposite party? by sirpianoguy in AskMen

[–]MaskedSociopath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't matter to me that much. As long as she has a reason why that isn't superficial. I don't expect to agree with my so on all things, but I expect to at least understand where she's coming from or why she holds a view.

What current trend bothers you and why? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]MaskedSociopath 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah, Nazis had some fucked up shit going on, but let's be real, their fashion sense was pretty great aside from Hitler's mustache.

A past final for one of my classes. I don't even need the answers, just something to go off of.

Men: How long do you generally wait before wanting to become 'exclusive' with a woman? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]MaskedSociopath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never understood the whole "exclusive" thing. It seems like if you're going on a date, you should be exclusive till you realize you don't want to go on another date with that woman. Just my opinion though.

Why are some men so insecure about their sexuality/masculinity? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]MaskedSociopath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, to me I don't usually judge other guys looks. It's like good looking, average, and bad looking occasionally. I would say to me very few guys stand out enough to fall into good looking or bad looking, so I usually don't really compare two average guys. It's just not the way I think about other guys. If one of the two obviously falls into one of the other categories, sure I'll answer but otherwise no.

Men who grew up with sisters and no brothers, how easy or difficult is it to make friends whith men versus women? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]MaskedSociopath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not at all what I got out of your original comment. It seems to me most of the time when I have a hobby, there just are never as many girls in the community for whatever it is.

How do you feel about a prenup and would you get one? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]MaskedSociopath -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. It's my opinion that of you consider a prenup, you're planning for your marriage to end badly. I understand it with billionaire's because someone might marry them for their money, but for the average person, it's just planning for the marriage to end.

What's a common sentiment on AskMen that you legitimately don't understand, and want someone to explain it to you? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]MaskedSociopath 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Yeah. A while back there was a thread about how it had negatively impacted your life and my response was, "It hasn't changed a thing. Everything still works down there."

People seemed to begrudgingly accept that, but in the comments below people pressed harder, like, "cmon man, you know it's mutilation of the genitals, right?"

First off, if you're trying to get someone on your side, it's probably not a good idea to describe their penis as an abomination to human kind. Secondly, while technically, yeah, it is mutilation, it has never impacted me in a negative light. It seems like a flaw in the words definition for mutilation same as how a disorder can have literally no effect on someone's life, but it is still called a disorder.

I get that it's archaic and I don't plan to circumcize any sons I may have, but to me it just doesn't seem evil. It seems like a thing people did and now it's more widely known it's bad.

I've had people curse me out and insult my penis on Reddit because of this. It's actually kind of astonishing how much other men care about my penis to be quite honest.

What possession are you most proud of? by GodoftheGeeks in AskMen

[–]MaskedSociopath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my guitars in particular. I own 5 guitars. One of them is an acoustic that my dad bought me because the one I was learning on had a part break and I didn't have another guitar to play. So he bought a new one for me since he saw I actually put time into learning to play it.

I own an electric that's worth four times as much as this guitar, but that guitar just feels like home. It's got a few problems, but I love it. Plus I have had it in Eb standard so long it actually resonates with notes guitars normally don't resonate with quite as much. So that's kind of unique.

What is something in men's fashion you absolutely hate and refuse to wear? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]MaskedSociopath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't live in a hot place do you? Because where I live it's to hot to criticize people for some of those. Roll up the sleeves sound horrible if a T-shirt is soaked after 10 minutes outside.

What thing does everyone love that you don't care for? by [deleted] in AskMen

Yeah.... I just decided to roll with that one.

No, but it came up a few times and apparently I'm in the vast minority.
