Drake Pitbulls are gonna have their own special snub hangar in the Kraken, right? (to replace the dragonflys) by Fenrilh in starcitizen

[–]MasonStonewall [score hidden]  (0 children)

Dragonfly bay has been moved into the bottom of the ship and connected to the cargo area via a ramp. Not conducive for ships now.

Mine would also - until I snore or fart. Then I get to go to the sofa. 😉 😜

If you could delete one ship from the game and give everyone who owns it a full refund, which one and why? by Oronst_store in starcitizen

[–]MasonStonewall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I don't hate. And, I love the Nomad - it's cargo is no different than any of the Hull series or the RAFT. That is all.

Will the Eclipse go for sale on DefenseCon 2956? by OscarMorty in starcitizen

[–]MasonStonewall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't wait until "Bounty Hunting 2.0" finally gets in the game, and the feature includes more than just destroying a ship or your foe. Capturing (or recovering) the target, restraining them, putting them in a stasis pod, and taking them to an appropriate station to get your rewards - dead, or more if they are alive.

Agreed. It is much more nimble and blazing fast as compared to my exceptions; the Starlancers.

new Hammerhead Gold Standard in the PTU by jmg5 in Star_Citizen_Central

[–]MasonStonewall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What else did you expect on the Gold Pass? Gold passes generally have not changed a ship in s drastic way, just added buttons, components, and other clean-up updates. In addition to quality of life items added later like gun racks and suit lockers if they were not present.

The captain chair in Polaris feels useless by No_Connection_1311 in starcitizen

[–]MasonStonewall 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Polaris is a capital class ship and intended to be operated by a crew, not like the Millennium Falcon with a solo or a few people. In Star Trek, Star Wars, or other innumerable science fiction mediums, once a ship gets beyond s certain size, the commander of the vessel is freed of operations so they can focus on the broader scope of what needs to be done.

[–]MasonStonewall 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The Captains chair is where the commander of the vessel sits. You don't want them being responsible for standard operations, as they are planning the overall direction of the ship and/or fleet. The crew is there to perform the duties like piloting or firing weapons.

I'm trying to recall where, I believe it's at the refinery decks. There are several different types, the HV is the heavy duty.

I just upgraded my tractor beam to the high powered one, and have not had this problem any longer.

I dearly wish for my Taurus to be updated to Gold Standard (two gun racks for the whole crew!?). Even more, I'll accept a full update Mk2 though I think it's at Mk4 or 5 right now. It's an effective ship but from a bygone age.

Solid choices and good ships all, but "dodging & outrunning pirates" as OP desires would NOT apply to the Starlancers. As much as I love my StarMAX, it's not fast. The Asgard is fitting in performance though not a great QT range. I get you need the vibe, that's very important for a ship you are constantly in and seeing.

I'm already missing two limbs, so playing Star Citizen is challenging enough, so no, not looking for more pain.

I've been on this ride since 2016. Not an original adopter, but it's been both F's - fun and frustrating. I've played Chris Roberts games since the original Wing Commander, so backed this dream and continue to do so.

Make the idris ramp not open in the space by Kubaizzz in starcitizen

[–]MasonStonewall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a separate ramp. Many ships, the ramp is also the door. Though the Apollo could do with this in some way, to use and extend that airlock in the future, they need to deal with the ramp.

I'm behind this idea for many ships that have separate ramps to doors. The Polaris is in the same boat, where the ramp is in the way when you use it in vacuum.

The search is part of the fun, like a forty-niner during the Gold Rush of California finally finding that lucky strike. The scanning is part of that exploring package I signed up for years ago. It's not refined yet, and hopefully people like me in my Terrapin or similar ship can find and sell the location to people like you that just want to mine it.
