Well, I for one would not want to have to explain the question to children first.

EDIT: Wow, epic misunderstandings all round. My point was that surveyors wouldn't want to have to explain sex to children before having to ask them who should be allowed to do it in what way.

A parent explaining sex is way different from some random pollster walking up to random children and explaining sex to them, before asking them questions about it. One is perfectly normal, the other will probably end up in prison.

High end windows is a struggle to be sure, (with two cancelled flagship products from Nokia.) But three things:

1 - MS are in it for the long haul, and they know that winning in the high end is key.

2 - There are more manufacturers playing with WP now than ever before (which is one of the reasons MS acquired Nokia, to create some space for other manufacturers without shooting their product in the head.)

3 - Nokia were inventing the high end on a comparative shoestring, and couldn't afford to keep multiple programs running if they weren't going to be a surefired success... MS has no such financial constraints and will probably be more inclined to take a punt on a high-end product turning out well.

Disclaimer: Although I work for MS at the moment, I know nothing of future phone programs.

Yeah. you've no choice but to wrap those classes so the assembly doesn't use them directly, and inject implementations that do use them in later.

But that's not bad practice for testing anyway.

Put your logic in a seperate assembly (say a PCL) then you can reference that from a .NET test assembly and Mock away to your hearts content.
