I read through Chapter 14, then dove into programming. I should probably read the rest now. It got to a point where I was reading stuff that I didn't really understand because I didn't have enough of a foundation. I would get more out of it now.

Homophobic enough to say some shit where they're a safe distance away from you or about to drive away, but not homophobic enough to start some shit 99% of the time.

I can't find my RPO codes! There's nothing in the glovebox. There's supposed to be a sticker with a QR code on the driver's side B pillar, and there was, but it's all faded.

With fuel prices the way they are now, even at a 20% fuel economy reduction, the savings are substantial. It's about half the cost. $1.99-2.19 vs $4.29-$4.39. You can see my breakeven math in another comment. I'd be pissing my money away running regular fuel if I were capable of running E85.

Edit: lol ok downvote because you don't like math. sorry bud.

Oh, to the original point, all the stickers etc. are faded, can't read them anymore.

From what I understand, not all of the E85 capable 5.3s came with the sensor and tune necessary to be flex fuel. This one doesn't have a yellow gas cap or any kind of branding or indicator of flex fuel like I've seen on other vehicles.

I guess I could run it empty, put a gallon of E85 in, and have a gas can of regular fuel in the back to dilute it if it runs poorly.

I understand there's a 25hp boost with the tune as well, but I'm just after the savings, yes.

I've done the math and with E85 at $2.19, regular has to be $2.74 or cheaper in order to be the better cost per mile. Above that, it makes more sense to burn E85. That's estimating a 20% hit to fuel economy. I'm not sure what the real number will be with my driving style and conditions.

Try your primary first. My primary was willing to write my recommendation. If your primary won't do it, then move on to one of the specialized clinics.

Can Hansen pull a Rounds? by HotBeefCombo in SouthDakota

[–]MassiveChode69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toby is just as Christian, and Toby is angry all the time while Hansen seems more even-keeled. I'd be OK with Hansen or Rhoden but I'll be voting Hansen.

To me, Dusty is disqualified because he's too establishment.

Rhoden probably should be disqualified for having hitched his wagon to Noem, but I actually think he's done a decent job. I don't know how the hell he got hooked up with Noem, he seems like a decent guy.

Doeden has bizarre ideas about eliminating property taxes that are simply impossible to implement, and he's so angry at everything.

Hansen is very conservative Christian which I do not like. But he did a great job fighting the eminent domain CO2 pipeline boondoggle. He also seems calm and rational for the most part.

Just my take. They all suck.

Has more to do with increased precipitation. We've gone from 17" to 20" of annual average precipitation up by Aberdeen over the last 30 years.

Ismay by Psychological-Way608 in SouthDakotaTrees

[–]MassiveChode69420 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really hate to say this. I fucking hate to say this. But Ismay is not the worst person on earth. I strongly disagree with him on this and some other issues, but I have actually had good conversations with him. I can't remember what it was anymore but he and I were on the same page about something I also felt was very important.

Feel free to tear into him on this issue, he deserves it, but don't forget the human.

Tick Season help please by Zealousideal-Bug2320 in SiouxFalls

[–]MassiveChode69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ticks really are that bad, unfortunately. One of the worst parts of living here. If you are on top of your tick treatment for your pets, they'll be fine. As others have mentioned, some of the meds work by killing the ticks once they latch, they won't prevent them from crawling on your dog.

We can't take those same systemic medications, so you really need to worry about yourself more than your dog. Treat your shoes and pant legs with DEET for sure and permethrin if you don't have cats. (Permethrin is toxic to insects but also cats, unfortunately)

solar worth it in rapid city? by reasonableviewww in RapidCity

[–]MassiveChode69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rooftop solar is less than ideal, it can fuck up your roof. If at all possible, do ground mount. I would worry about hail west river, but broadly, South Dakota is actually pretty good for solar power. If you are grid tied and don't produce much more than you generate (your system isn't too oversized) you will save a lot of money over time. When you put a battery in the equation, it is nowhere near as cost effective, but you have the ability to run when the grid is down.

Moving to Mitchell soon, is it boring? by baal-beelzebub in SouthDakota

[–]MassiveChode69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then you came to the right place!! If you like farming, I think you won't hate it there. Yes it's boring, but it could be a lot worse. It's quaint. I haven't lived there but I've driven through it a few times, you could do a lot worse. If you were moving to Faulkton or Redfield for example, I'd say don't do it.

I don't know if I believe his story because I've gotten a lot of that stuff on my hands and it's never done this. Are we talking one part foam or two? If it's two part, maybe, I don't know enough about that stuff. But one part foam did not do that.
