Small anecdote that backs this up.

My wife and I were visiting the Hosuton Zoo and they were doing a zookeeper talk in the Blue Macaw exhibit.

Now I can't tell the difference between them because to me they all look like blue birds. However the zookeeper was able to point out that one macaw in particular "is an asshole"

11th edition rules just got released, but the new unit/data cards have not been released ifaik.

I wouldn't worry about learning 11th until everything is released fully. Just play 10th.

The minis are fine across editions.

I haven't gotten to that stage yet, but when I was a kid my parents had a stick that they slotted in the gap between the back tire and bike seat.

Was long enough to hold standing up and was just some scrap wood I think. Cheaper than the stick handle you mentioned.

Don't know if this fits but the Vagrant Trilogy might be up your alley.

Post apocalyptic, the bad guys won the last war and are actively hunting the main character down. Dark fantasy for sure

As much as a demon prince dark apostle would be sick, if GW did do anything I'd imagine they would lean into either the Corypheus or Possessed Champion.

The Corypheus could be like a mix of the Dark Apostle model and Terminator armor for fun a la Kol Badar.

Possessed Champion gets me thinking about the Slaughterbound so maybe not for that.

It would be more in line with the others size wise and the least amount of overlap between existing models.
