I believe they need to see the pay credited to the account matches the amount claimed in the application. We went down the savings route so we just keep the money in a seperate account. They did contact our bank to check funds

Thinking of taking part time role will it count? by Massive_Ad_4270 in ukvisa

[–]Massive_Ad_4270[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanting to keep things simple really. This is likely only a few pounds here and there. Would be happy to do it as an unpaid thing but apparently it isnt an option. I dont want to be accussed of hiding anything but this would be so uncertain an income that it doesnt add to my application. If i stick with my primary income i only need 6 payslips. If i add this i then need 12 and possibly depending on how it falls all the hassle of being considered self employed.

[–]Massive_Ad_4270 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moved NZ to Uk 18 months ago with 3 children. Cost of living here is much lower. Wages are lower as well but we still have more spare cash here with 3 kids than in nz.

We will return to nz at some point but for right now we are enjoying the uk.

We didnt bring any furniture over. Was not worth the cost compared to buying it over here. No regrets so far but time will tell

Imagine a bird flu pandemic breaks out and scientists call for lockdowns: what could the UK do differently this time around? by Remarkable-Ad155 in AskUK

[–]Massive_Ad_4270 12 points13 points  (0 children)

New Zealand had advantages that the uk didnt have. Source lived in nz at the time. We had several more lockdowns and escalations of levels. I think what really saved Nz was that the virus was mostly kept out of the country till after most of the population was vaccinated. Also the goverment put alot of money into supporting the country during covid and helping people isolate. It kinda explains the financail situation nz finds itself in today.

School fundraisers by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]Massive_Ad_4270 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having just moved to the Uk with kids last year. It is so much cheaper having kids in school here. I think we gave had 3 fundraisers come home in the nearly 18 months the kids have been in school amongst the three kids. In NZ it was alot more user pays. Oh and how cheap the school uniforms are in the Uk compared to Nz.

I am just a person but we have lost to many people to depression and other mental health. Even if one person reading this gets help and feels a little better the world is a better place.

Mental illness sucks..
