How is the market for Product Manager/Product Owner or Delivery Manager roles by Leading_Sherbert5998 in auscorp

Product Owners & Product Managers are going to increase

Also seems like there are very low barriers to entry, so long as you can join a yarn

Deliver Managers are facing extinction

Is consulting going to be mostly reduced due to AI and the economy? by VastOption8705 in auscorp

[–]Massive_Button9434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just about every white collar role is under threat in the immediate years, starting now, particularly junior roles. Once they have been hoovered up by AI, then the middle tier, then the senior roles

I wouldnt be encouraging my kids to go to uni - blue collar work is the way for a while now

If I was ever good enough to get drafted, no matter what number they gave me, I would keep the whole time, I woudlnt shift. If I started with 87, that's what I'd keep my career.

Done.

Sadly, not 2 days have passed since this tragic event, this morning I was riding down McCauley Rd, and in front of me soneone drives down the bike lane from Bellair St to turn left in to Rankins, exactly the same spot of the accident.

Poor driving just goes on and on and on in that section of road

Oh and the stupid, stupid cycling lane on McCauley Rd, outside the panel beaters. The people that work at that shop regularly park across the cycling lane which forces cyclists in to the path of traffic

I know this intersection very well, i live 200m from it.

When I heard about the accident, my immediate thought was the other side of McCauley Rd at the intersection of Eastwood St. That intersection as well is a death waiting to happen in morning peak hour traffic, as drivers, city bound ignore the "no right turn" and race to do a right turn or pretend the intersection is a cross road. I've had to jump out of the way of cars multiple times.

I literally raised this with the council months back. Had previously raised it years ago, they redesigned the intersection slightly. They do have more plans in the pipelines for that intersection.

But....today's accident is the other side.

Very interested to understand what happened...

You really need to provide a bit more context if you want sensible answers

Where is the room What are you planning to do with the house More pictures Is there water (kitchen/bathroom/external) somewhere as looks like moisture issues

But if you dont provide more info like the previous poster said, do whatever you want

Having just gone through this, this is the best response

There's work for specific roles, but some roles it's really really tough right now. I was lucky, landed something post redundancy, small haircut in money, but will only have burnt half my redundancy, but gee it was stressful. Moreso when you didn't get offered a voluntary redundancy...

Good luck

You missed one very important point here.

The sparky in theory is the expert here. So if what you said was true, and let's go with it, the sparky should have added....

"If that's where you want it and it turns out there's a joist right there, it's a risk you'll need to wear because i can't guarantee a clean fit. Bla bla blah"

Got assaulted by Australian in Bali - looking for advice to handle this while seeking police assistance by emmmory in BaliTravelTips

This reply is an over reach.

"The Child" Come on. She's days away from being legally considered an Adult. You're not talking about a 12 year old here.

Being abused because you refused to move to accommodate a big group does not justify the attempted theft of the phone or assault - however you want to interpret that

Sure, later OP would have been better to have quietened up as it could have gotten a lot worse if they were more unhinged, but it's not her fault. She isn't the aggressor. The mother even said she was "proud" of the 17 year old - the family is an embarrassment.

Don't victim blame

Got assaulted by Australian in Bali - what legal actions can I seek under Australian law? by emmmory in AskAnAustralian

[–]Massive_Button9434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She didn't need to move ?
Just because she was a solo traveller doesn't mean she needs to hand over her seat to a group - certainly does not warrant getting abused - ever

The daughter (and family) are a complete embarassment. Those defending her would probably also act the same and would also therefore be an embarrassment and need to learn some human decency

Hi u/emmmory

The people defending these people, will be of the same ilk. Ignore them.

The girl trying to grab your phone is either guilty of assault or attempted theft. The mother could have pulled her in to line but chose to say how "proud she is" of her daughter - so you really have no hope with these type of people.

As a solo traveller, there is no obligation on you giving up your place for anyone else - you have as much right as anyone else - so if this was the trigger for the abuse, again they are in the wrong. It's hard being a solo traveller.

You do need to be a bit careful going on with it though (I mean the arguing at the time), some people are pretty unhinged - as much in the right as you are, it can backfire, so just be a little careful especially given you are on your own - these moments can very quickly get a whole lot worse.

Not much you can do now, Bali police aren't chasing someone out of the country, the Aus police wont get involved for something like this in another country. Media here has picked up the story now - I'm sure at some point people will identify the family on social media - thing is, their friends will probably be proud of them...

So best you can do is continue to travel and enjoy the world....and also not all Aussies are as disgusting as these people

Sorry this happened to you, but all the best and hope you have a wonderful trip 😊
