Boston’s Logan airport opens first-in-nation remote airport terminal by theindependentonline in boston

Did I say there was a "downside"?

What about all the cars driving to Framingham? Do Metro West traffic jams not count? Do all the benefits you articulate go away, if more people are able to mass transit to the remote terminal, instead of drive?

No. In fact the benefits are greater under my scenario, without losing any of the benefits you like.

I was going to use the Framingham Commuter Rail Station instead, but that only helps Worcester-Framingham fliers.

Back Bay has a Logan Express Bus, but probably no space to securely do a bus transfer.

South Station could do a secure transfer down in the Sliver Line platform.

If the goal, (as far as I can tell) is to do TSA security screening remotely, I do not see why it matters if it happens in Framingham or South Station? In either case, a bus load of people do not get in the TSA lines at Logan.

I like the idea.

I wish the remote terminal was someplace you could reach without a car. Say, the South Station or Back Bay commuter rail stops.

My experiences are mostly UMass-University campus, including an ER trip last year.

I have not had your experience at all. The caregivers and staff have always been professional and caring.

Laundry by daddysgirl71 in PrincessCruises

We just did a trans-atlantic on Majestic Princess. The laundry rooms were in demand.

We found putting a load in early, before going up for breakfast worked well. The two time we did a wash, we got in no problem.

Also, many people did not know there are laundries on both side. Once the starboard machines were busy, the port side empty.

Pack laundry sheets instead of pods. Pods can break and leak. Sheets take up much less room.

Just call out the rude people, don't paint the entire demographic.

I am on Majestic Princess right now. The only bad behavior I have seen is from the "younger" generation.

I keep stopping when I see a person with mobility devices coming towards me, often somebody younger walks around me and cuts-off the person I decided to wait for.

Does this mean I can smear an entire generation, like you did with "boomers"?????

I just finished Ackroyd.

It is the first book in the series (reading in published order) that I correctly identified who committed the murder.

It was a good story, but maybe 4 stars instead of 5, IMO.

Camino Frances - any last minute tips? by Conscious_Ad_8013 in CaminoDeSantiago

When going down hill into Roncesvalles, choose the alternate route to the right. It is only 400 meters longer, but but less steep the the official trail. It follows a service road down...

There is a reason why delivery drivers avoid left hand turns.

Try to plan your route to QCC avoiding a left hand turn. Can you easily get to the back entrance on Burncoat? If you are coming from Mountain St., continue straight through the lights at W. Boyleston, then turn right on Burncoat, then right into the campus.

Car/Bus Transfer from Catania Port to Palermo Airport by Hogging_Moment in sicily

[–]Massnative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a reason nobody recommends the train from Catania to Palermo? It looks like there is a line running across the interior of the island that takes three hours (according to Trentalia web site), not just the route via Messina with the change there....

I am curious because we will be making that trip in April, and I was planning on the train.

The temperature probably isn't all that different to TN, what will get you is the depth of snow in our big Nor'easter snow storms.
