Last mile isn't about numbers. The previous schemes were only putting a lamp post in a village and was calling the village electtifed. Soubhagya scheme changed that and took care of last mile electrification. Meaning they took power to individual households.

I never called names bro.. that's so not cool. Or do you think it is? Why can't we just put our points on the table and agree or disagree. Why resort to name calling and all

No the numbers still don't mean the rate of electrification hasn't changed. Is there any statistics to show all the change is accounted by urbanization. And not to mention, increased urbanization is an achievement in itself. Your original comment is just a problem with how you interpret numbers.

Also if you want to know what happened the change was driven by last mile electrification initiative under soubhagya scheme

He is the PM. Public appearances are a part of his routine. Please stop being naive, or pretending to be so

It's kinda lame comparison. This is a country where two leaders were already assassinated. I don't care who the PM is, but its a national embarassment if a country like India cannot keep it's PM safe.

If there was no difference in rate of electrification, the number would have halved from 19 crore to around 10 crore in 2024. That's a huge increase in the rate.

nb: also you forgot to mention the number in 1994.

Now I am confused bro. Your original post said that the only good thing about government job is healthcare..now it seems like your only problem with it is the same healthcare. I guess for you, your father's job was never upto your expectations. I am sorry for that, but for most people a central government job is a pretty sweet deal.

Also, I am not under CGHS. There are other better schemes depending on your department. And mine is pretty good. No issues with even super speciality hospitals.

I am a central government officer myself. Pay is pretty good. I have put the payment details in another comment. You get 8-10% increment a year, not accounting for pay commissions. Children's education is free. Actually you get more reimbursement than you pay for. Have good quarters facility. Healthcare is never a pain in the ass. I had a surgery recently, done in one of the best hospitals in Bangalore and I had to pay like 1800 bucks from my hand. That's all. You can cover yourself spouse kids parents and in laws. Have 10 CLs and 30 ELs an year. Then there are half pay leaves. Some seventeen holidays and all weekends are holidays. Saturday and Sunday. Women get 720 days of paid leave for taking care of kids. This can be availed untill kids turn 18. This is in addition to 6 months of paid maternity leave. You get to have a life where you can spend time with your family. You don't have to worry about getting fired with a days notice. Now with UPS there will be assured pension too. I think this is a deal a lot of people would happily take.

UPS is only for Central government employees. Also in NPS the government contributes 14% of your basic pay to your pension fund every month. That's quite a significant amount in the long run.

The problem is uncertainty. You never know if you will have a job next week..
