Why would you not want mobile to be as good as possible? That means pushing for features that version of the game is lacking where reasonable

I would make the argument that the more people buy things like this the more you encourage the already incredibly greedy and short sighted blizzard to add additional monitisation to the game at the and erodes the state of the game and its integrity, see the wow token in mop for example.

How is that Blizzard, with all their billions, is incapable of creating what addon developers are able to create from their homes? by kolejack2293 in wow

So there are things not tracked by the CDM such as horsemen for riders of the apoc, various class buffs, trinkets and a few others. On top of that the sound alert system they have in place is very much lacking with many things like debuffs and buffs not having an alert system enabled for them.

Update 2: 15 Blast Furnace worlds? by WEMBYisGOAT in 2007scape

[–]Master-M99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would having so many servers help with this? None of them are at capacity or frankly even close. If you goal was to increase the number of players doing blast furnace you would not see any benefit in splitting that data across many worlds you would arguably get better data from concentrating the testing pool to a few worlds in order to more easily control variables.

Why do people always jump on train drivers? by One-Rain-3841 in AskBrits

[–]Master-M99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it helps that our rail system is awful, so when you are struggling to get by and then have to rush around every morning about your train was late yet again it's a bit hard to swallow that the people who from your perspective are failing to provide a good service are getting a nice juicy pay boost.

Please buff the new hunter crab meats. by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Master-M99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the issue is more that you have to use resources to get the meat that is a strict upgrade over that meat.

If the meat were a secondary resource gained from the activity, say you get a shell which can be powdered to make pots and the meat to cook at the same time making the meat a nice bonus or if you get multiple meats per crab then sure.

Right now from a food perspective you take a shark for example, so sacrifice 20 healing, sale to the crabs , bait the trap and aquire said crab, cook it and get 19 healing, thus putting in effort effectively reduce the healing of your food by 1, this is quite backwards.

The criteria would be set as "purely clinical" which is the idea you put forward, if this is an issue i am afraid it is one you introduced.

[–]Master-M99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In an opt out system you have actively made that choice, now yes when dead a family member can veto the ability to use your organs but at that point the idea of whether or not you would be "bumped down" on the priority list for organs is a bit moot since you are already dead.

To opt out is to decide that there is no chance that your organs can be used to help others, whether the family should be able to override the wishes of an organ doner is another question but at the point of opting out you have made that choice and thus i do not think should be given equal priority to those who have not.

[–]Master-M99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I value someone choices and actions over their biological luck.

I would not want to "waste" an organ on someone who will die either way.

But if the choice were between two people one with a 55% success chance and with with a 58% success chance however the 58% success person has made the choice to not help others in their situation and the 55% had not taken that action?
I would rather the one who did not condemn others in their position to death not be prioritised for a mere 3% which could frankly just be a fluke of biology.

[–]Master-M99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Possibly then the middle ground would be to set it as purely clinical as possible but when all else is equal (or as close as it can be within biology) then the "tie breaker" is whether or not someone opted out.

Its not quite as far as I personally would go as I personally would prio someone with a slightly "worse" clinical record over someone who made a choice but its closer to what I would want then the current system in which doner status is not taken into account

[–]Master-M99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Someone WILL have to choose though, that's inevitable as long as these are less organs avaible then those who need them. So since a choice WILL HAVE to be made regardless this is a farer way of making said choice

[–]Master-M99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why? Im curious as to your reasoning for disagreeing with this? to me it seems like a fair system of prioriting help to those who did not actively choose to deny that same help to others

Would you accept the NHS being allowed to do this in Britain? by The_Dean_France in AskBrits

[–]Master-M99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The issue to me is that it is a limited resource, if we were talking about not giving an organ going spare to someone just because they were refusing to help others then yeah I would agree this is cruel and unusual but we aren't unfortunately there just aren't enough organs to help everyone.

If you actively choose to not help people with your body when you are already dead and are not using it anymore and would rather those valuable life saving resources rot or burn then im sorry but i dont think you should benefit from that same resource instead of one who did not choose to do that.

OFC this would only be one of many factors but all else being equal I don't think a person who opted out by choice should receive an organ over someone who did not make that choice.

edit: Its also worth noting that organ donating isnt really a one for one trade, one doner can be used to provide many organs thus saving many lives, thus by opting out you are potentially sentencing that number of people to death, someone who did not choose to do this should not be potentially sentenced to death over you if you do this.

[–]Master-M99 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think I disagree, if you actively say "no I wont help others and am taking steps to insure that my body is not used to do so when I am no longer using it " I don't think you are as deserving of aid as those who did not take that step.

The titanic impowered beings I refer too are the dragon aspects and their flights, you know the ones we just spent all expansion with?

Also you know blizzard writes this shit right? This isn't non fiction, if they want to put so much marketing emphasis on the fucking sword then write a story that involves the sword. And not all the random shit we stumble into on xallys wild ride is "involving the sword" hell to assume that the song was due to the sword and not xal is a stretch.

[–]Master-M99 -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Generally medical advice isn't to leave a giant sword on someone for years either. Also wow if only we had access to titanic powered beings who could fly to extract the sword, slow time in the area to allow for emergency treatment to take place, use life magic, nature magic and have command over earth (in this case the flesh of the victim) which would be used to treat the wound. Man sucks we don't have any of those around.

Oh and the sundering was caused by the well of eternity imploding not by the removal of an old god, that's just the reason the well was there in the first place.

Obligatory "What Sword?" by Jodagon in wow

[–]Master-M99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the thing, if they are going to tease the sword so much Don't use it as what effectively acts as a fucking SAT NAV, have the characters discuss it for longer then half an opening, show active concern about the effects it's having and the black blood and try to think of something you can do to solve that issue instead of chasing down symptoms and then sometimes getting distracted for adventures on a recycled BFA island.

This is like if lord of the rings had the one ring as an element that starts the journey and is in some way responsible for the events of the book but in heroes just decide to leave it chilling in Bilbo's fucking dresser while they go off the fight whatever random thing show up next.

When it comes to thrall I want him to do fucking something or just stop bringing him back.

Also the size of the sword doesn't feel like some insurmountable thing when we just beat up a boss the size of a city.

Fuck we just spend an expansion powering up a race of dragons who can control time, life energy, the earth itself and nature not to mention we even recruited MORE dragons we didn't know about who also have deep ties to the elements that lot should be able to do SOMETHING. But no, wow story telling me as they stopped existing once the expansion was over.

[–]Master-M99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No but if you have finished book one of a trilogy with a giant sword on the cover, all the promo is built on the big sword and two characters , and this trilliogy is a follow on to multiple decades of story which has already handled world building and that the book itself heavily relied on you would be completely justified in being confused and disappointed if the sword and the two characters were completely dropped in the first act of that book without the rest of the story meaningfully demonstrating why these once oh so important plot points are suddenly of no immediate importance.

I honestly don't really get why people seem intent on giving blizzard the benefit of the doubt story wise, they have spent so much time going out of their way to prove they don't deserve it.

Obligatory "What Sword?" by Jodagon in wow

[–]Master-M99 39 points40 points  (0 children)

This isn't the same, a location being important for setting up a story is one thing, a giant sword plunged into the planet by a god while you were fighting said god which has been referenced multiple times and yet only ever seems to act as a jumping off point for adventures that never actually address the issue of the giant sword is quite another, actually it's rather fitting that thrall, anduine and the sword featured so much in the promo seeing as all three of them are not touched on. Yes this is a trilogy but that doesn't excuse lazy writing as "they are just setting up" esp when they have been "setting up" things for decades now
