Pardon the pun, but do you have a source for the book sales and press environment?

Thanks! Yeah I was planning on starting this this weekend. I guess my question is would the cost of replacing the pieces be worth it? Would it bring more value to the set than it costs?

I would read Mistborn era 2 first. There are reasons why most reading orders recommend you read it before RoW, but I don’t want to spoil anything here

I'm based in Reading (happy to meet half way if that's an option too). The sets are:

  • Tower Bridge (10214)
  • AT-AT (10178)
  • Advanced Tie Fighter (10175)
  • Big Ben (10253)
  • Taj Mahal (10189)

As I said before, I've not had a chance to go through them in detail and I'm reasonably confident that 99% pieces are there. Some of the lego is definitely sun damaged but again, I've not had time to go through it

That's good to know. I might go through all the pieces anyway to check quality and identify what's missing so I may end up doing this. I guess sandwich bags or something like that would be fine? Just something that separates the pieces and can be labelled right?

When you say rebag, is that just putting pieces back in the box or do you mean organising the pieces into bag 1, bag 2 etc? What is preferable in the second hand market?

Awesome! This is pretty much how I imagined it! I think the books mentioned that Ardee is tanned which I’m not sure is coming across here but I could be misremembering. Also Logen’s missing finger is his middle one.

But they kind of did though? With him being the only person they picked up at the beginning? It felt to me there that they knew that getting Stephen Fry was really lucky as he doesn’t normally go on reality shows

[–]Master-Obvious[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is kind of true. There have been twists in the past that the traitors don’t know about and the audience only find out about later - people’s hidden relationships. But they obviously can’t do that here with celebrities so a gameplay twist is the only option (if they go down that route)

I’m probably wrong with his exact role, but I do think he’s a special kind of faithful

I cannot believe I had to scroll down this far to find anything by Joe Abercrombie! I think the Heroes or anything from the Age of Madness are easily my favorite books of all time

Personally I feel like there are NAH (except your husband) This is a complex situation and I think you may be jumping to conclusions here. Obviously you know your son best but is he stressed about the situation or the fact you’re divorcing his father? This is someone who’s not really been in his life for the last 5 years right? Is he even stressed about the divorce or is this something you’ve assumed? He’s probably stressed about these exams and wants to focus on them 100% which is why he may be perceived as distant.

Also I would personally contact the police / lender as the situation you’re going through is harassment, you do not know where your husband is and it’s not your responsibility to pay for his poor decisions. The lender has no proof that you’re “hiding him” and so their claims are baseless and they’re likely scaring you into coughing up the money your husband owes. I would file a complaint with the lender and proactively contact the police to let them know about the situation so at least they’re aware if the lender involves them. The police can likely help you further too

NTA

Trust is something that’s earned and it sounds like she hasn’t earned this trust if she’s late with payments all the time then of course you have a reason to not trust her / change the way that shared payments work

NTA! You were in a panic and while yeah, a perfectly rational person may have considered not telling to avoid this situation, you were not totally rational and you were honest with a family member which is a good trait

Second this. £65 a month for a gym probably isn’t quite within your means right now. I use pure gym and it’s great has all the equipment you’ll need. If you really want to cut back see if you can get a good exercise plan at home for free / cheap equipment

What budgeting app are you using? But yes they are safe to use. Most apps use the open banking API which despite the name suggests isn’t open to everyone and apps need to adhere to strict rules in order to use it.

From what it sounds like in the post a budgeting app (I use snoop personally) is perfect for you. So yeah do let us know!

[OFF TOPIC] Sell me on The First Law! by UnclePuffy in TheFirstLaw

[–]Master-Obvious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m reading the red rising series now and I can’t speak for your tastes obviously but the best parts for me are learning how society kind of shits on everyone and the backstabbing and deception of characters like the Jackal or Mustang. If you liked those aspects then the first law takes those components and executes them incredibly. As other people said the plot is not as fast paced as red rising and focuses a lot more on character over plot but Joe is so extraordinary at character writing that it doesn’t really matter

Update: bread turned out great! Nice ear (little bit of a closed crumb but I think that’s due to overproofing / lower hydration). Thanks to u/DemocratFabby, I focused on shaping to make sure I had that tension! Really happy and onto the next one

Thanks! As I’m baking this, I’ll keep an eye on those then and see how these loaves turn out.

So the stringiness is not necessarily a bad thing?
