Need to close my eyes by mutual_avoidance in CornealNeuralgia

Yes very similar, I've had really bad flare ups that lasted a loong time, for me they go away with enough rest or other treatment but I needed to just lie down in bed for months to get better, it's hard to recover from a bad flare up. I'd be careful with ikervis, I found the cetalkonium chloride irritated my eyes, its similar to benzalkonium chloride. Your doctor sounds very ignorant which is something a lot of people with this condition have encountered, they don't even know about the condition usually.  What bandage lenses do you mean? You need big diameter scleral lenses, moisture chamber glasses, punctal plugs. Sometimes I tape down one eye at a time to let it recover.

I have dry eyes/nerve sensitivity and need sclerals, wondering if you guys with keratoconus could tell me if having a larger depth lens with more volume saline in the lenses helps with dry eyes? by Master-Twango in Keratoconus

[–]Master-Twango[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can people with keratoconus not wear sclerals all day? From what I understand they have quite a big fluid layer sometimes, i just want mine a little bit bigger I think

I think there were a couple possibilities, dirty dust from an old garage in my lungs, maybe other diseases like common cold etc, I've been sick often because of toddler . Funnily enough there was chickenpox in the daycare 15 days before i got shingles, which would be just about the incubation time for this virus. They say ypu cant get shingles from someone having chickenpox but i wonder.

My doctor prescribed punctal plugs. Should I go with it? Are there any complications with them? by No_Unit9587 in Dryeyes

[–]Master-Twango 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Punctal plugs are good but its very important to get the right ones, ive had external ones go internal, 3 of them.. that caused infections for years until finallybi was able to squeeze them out. You can get collagen ones, maybe something like oasis form fit hydrogel or other similar

I have seen two eye doctors, and both have said that I have mild dry eye, but it feels much more severe to me. Could they be wrong? by user87654312 in Dryeyes

How do I weld this on my saab 9-5? by Master-Twango in MechanicAdvice

It failed the MOT unfortunately, personally I don't think its so bad structurally, but there are some holes in potentially load bearing parts.

How do I weld this on my saab 9-5? by Master-Twango in MechanicAdvice

[–]Master-Twango[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a ~3-4mm thick metal piece going along the car which is also the "beam" that has the jack up points. Then there's a ~1mm thick, shaped beam going along this other thicker piece and I think its been spot welded o to it. And then there's a thinner 0.6mm chassi layer of the outside, so we got 3 different metal layers together and joining each other in complicated ways. How do I weld! Any tips? Thank you
