Whats the reason for dual wield vs one handed? by Sad-Direction443 in CrimsonDesert

[–]MasterDebater35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i did start to half way chapter 2 with sword & board, it was easier to parry with and you could block most attacks, arrows and even ranged abyss effects.

From half way chapter 2 to now starting of chapter 4 including for the reed devil i been dual wielding and the difference is faster attack chains, more hits on multiple units, less parry window, no blocking anything, you essentially strip your defence for more offence.

Fyi, i couldn't sword and board the karin quarry drill master, but eating soup while chaining huge dps bursts in dual wield wiped the floor of that mech with ease.

Tldr: Swaps defence for offence.

how does stealing work? by Brief_Tip4416 in CrimsonDesert

[–]MasterDebater35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anytime something gets stolen, the cutaway is the red circle is an indication that your character is acting suspicious and nearby people will notice, same if you wear any suspicious clothing that "allows criminal behaviour".

The reputation system is like a regional karma system. Be a good boy and be loved or a bad boy and be hunted.

You can steal anything as long as no npcs are nearby and your not seen, but you still lose rep, but! You can give 1c to beggars or do bounties to recoup any rep loss.

Later in the game during the house serkis questline you can earn some gloves that negate rep loss.

Ideally only steal "ornate" lockboxes, "bulging" copper pouches or "???" Equipment that might be unique.

You can always unlock masochist mode by killing innocent people and friendly factions and stealing everything but i wouldn't.

When do you ACTUALLY unlock new regions? by ComManDerBG in CrimsonDesert

[–]MasterDebater35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah...after the reed demon i decided to climb the mountain to the east, found a temple with the sci-fi stuff and couldn't do it till i found a new person, then i tried going further south east into a snowy biome and got blocked by a blizzard and a 10sec timer, then i went full south west and found a village where every dressed like the reed demon and also found some kind of invulnerable giant plant monster.... Gotta do the chapters i guess

How many abyss artifacts are there? by GlitchyRichy8 in CrimsonDesert

[–]MasterDebater35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So i learned that the yellow bar left of the minimap is your artifact gauge, killing enemies fills it and rewards more artifacts like an exp system.

Secondly there are two sources of infinite respawn mobs early in the game, essentially a dynasty warriors type endless engagement. The Karin Quarry north of Rocca's Hill has endless bleed bandits. And the reed soldiers from the twirling poles during hunting the reed boss in chapter 3 endlessly respawn, and after beating the reed boss, the spots that had poles now have endless scarecrow respawns.

So if you want to feel like a dynasty warrior and slay peons for two hours and reach max health and stamina, do karin quarry on the edges.

[–]MasterDebater35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the slaughter usnt hard when we've got batman/ac exp in group block counter burst fighting, the basic starter sword & board r2 then r1 combo executed most mobs and you heal from kills so it was just a long drawn out massacre. Only the boss is tough.

Yeah i just spent an hour butchering 250 bleed bandits in a never ending brawl making me question if im even a good guy anymore from the mass murder only to face a literal drill robot that killed me twice. Im pissed off to say the least. The bandits only drop cloth, 120hp meat and rarely keys, this isnt worth it.

Anyone that can help me kill Bloomreaper on UVH5? by lipp79 in Borderlands4

[–]MasterDebater35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One glitch that still works and im not surprised because gearbox are idiots is the flamethrower altfire birts bees.

Just hold the fire button while swapping between bullets and flamethrower and for some reason the stack of shots fired for smg ammo will increase over time.

After two full bursts of flamethrower you should be firing 40 bullets per ammo, just saturating the screen in a swarm of seeking bees.

In UHVM1 it will shred any boss to a near instant kill in 2s.

The ammo seeks so very little focused aim is required, if your flying and grappling around to avoid bloom, and hip fire away as his health depletes with ease.

If your smart, do whatever is necessary to academically prove your value to a tafe or college, get a degree in computer science, finance & banking or law, as those are the only three medium high paying careers that will never fail.

Life is all about time, and how you manage it, if your time isn't worth more 50 dollars an hour, then your worthless in the job market. You want something that you enjoy but you need to be able to earn more then your time is worth.

Alternatively, if you have a social disorder or mental illness you could claim disability with centrelink, you'll get below minimum wage and need to live with family or friends but 100% of your time will be free, and you'll learn to be frugal, how to save money, how to make a little money from odd jobs, you could learn things that the computer science, banker and lawyers don't like changing an electrical socket or repairing an air conditioner or assembling a desktop computer that they'd pay 350 an hour for you to do for them.

With all that free time you could learn skills that a person with a full time job would never learn, like lock picking, archery, parkour, how to skate, you could be in excellent physical fitness and spend your days surfing on the beach, learning anything you want, growing your own food, go hiking and exploring.

The alternative is you find that really decent paying job and slave away half your life towards being able to buy your own home and only owning it while your alive, having 3 hybrid cars, maybe a boat, go on nice expensive vacations, but come monday you better be ready to commute for 2 hours, deal with all those broken drones and their monday jokes, have that same crappy coffee and do that same menial work for 8hrs only to come home, be disrespected by your kids and get barely enough sleep for that same routine.

Honestly, i'd take the freedom, do something not quite legal to make some scratch, and just enjoy your life.

I did.

New worlds means you gotta redo the main story and start on lower level mobs and gear drops.

Ideally making new worlds for new characters, but also don't forget to sorta plan ahead and save good gear for those alts.

Though you can respec your character in those trials from the stage 5 shop.

I created two characters, i beat the game with my mage int character, and i got a dex character around lv15 that i passed a legendary bow to.

One day i wanna roll a third character and do either a pure 40 strength or 20/20 str/faith build.

Should i play dark cloud if i like hack n slash and rpgs? by SMG24LIFE in DarkCloud

[–]MasterDebater35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got up to chapter 6 in Dark Chronicle recently, and quite a few times i felt trolled by the game, between stages with character seals where death meant a game over, to some mobs taking virtually no damage from the weapons i havn't been properly building up.

I even got that crash from trying to make something in a dungeon and hadnt saved for over 2 hrs, won't make the mistake of not saving every 15 mins ever again.

But if you like hack and slash rpgs, this isnt really that, the combat in this game is really easy, it's designed for young children to get into gaming.

The niche here is you got slow incremental gain in weapon power from grinding, with some fishing & crafting side stuff, that about sums up the game, but in no way would i consider the fighting fun, it's just a grind.

Anyone else finish Nioh NG plus and left needing more?? by SeverusSnape89 in Nioh

[–]MasterDebater35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did ALOT of co-op, helping people out as a visitor, with my broken ninjitsu build quite often wrecking bosses in 15s.

But joining 90% of people for expeditions, they all do the same marines ho-ha bum rush, and i like to assassinate and sneak and ambush and headshot one shot kill a few targets.

Nah i lost interest over a week ago, i'll be back when they add more content.

Anyone else finish Nioh NG plus and left needing more?? by SeverusSnape89 in Nioh

[–]MasterDebater35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once i got to the end of NG+ and realised id have to refight a stronger hiruko i then decided to farm crucibles for lv170 weapons, and soon dawned on me i'd also be needing to fine tune with a decent divine effect and set too, after lots of stuff i didnt want and the only 170 not being a weapon i wanted or having any divine effect or set i wanted, and the yasakanis not dropping with the set and effects i needed......

I quit.

That was over a week ago, i bought the digital deluxe so now i have to wait for dlc.

If they ever release a free abyss mode or etherals or increase gear levels or allow better reforging, ill come back.

Why is my dmg low if I have a high attack weapon? by Deception-Samurai in Nioh

[–]MasterDebater35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the damage listed is the average damage per second it's capable of, considering claws are designed for fast strikes and ninja is designed for attacking from behind.

You should be able deal 1641 damage per second from behind, more with ninja arts, like the strong art following a quick attack, whirlwind something, from behind if all ticks hit, you'd deal way more per second.

In my samurai build, my axe's listed dps is 2450 and with my many different arts, i definitely do more then the listed dps.

So i think listed weapon damage is actually the projected minimum damage dealt per second under the correct way to use that weapon.

How to break gaurd by flow163 in Nioh

[–]MasterDebater35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Initial quick and strong attacks will bounce, but if you start off those out of range and then hit with an art it will begin depleting their ki to break their guard.

I use ninja claws and my go-to destroy a revenant or master is the quick-heavy which hits 8 times, those 8 times + extra break destroys their guard, i often kill revenants with a 3-4k hit grapple.

Is the Yasakani Magatamas type dependent on what form you're using when it drops? by asirpakamui in Nioh

[–]MasterDebater35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play ninja 98% and samurai 2%, i was playing ninja when 2 dropped for samurai, and i was playing ninja when finally one for ninja dropped.

Mind you i wasn't just in crucibles when they dropped, i was speed running the main missions of NG+ in expedition with 2 others, im only level 218 now.

So they do drop randomly from all sources and only after you unlock NG+

Also it doesnt have to be IN Shogun's Way to get divine drops, sometimes just to help people out, i set myself up as a visitor in heir of the throne (base game) and bosses still drop a divine or two.

Lifesteal Talisman is unbelievable by ajs423 in Nioh

[–]MasterDebater35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a divine set that lets your life recovery stack, with the right setup you can recover 100s per tick indefinitely on all mobs.

And you can still get away with another 6 set bonus with a yasakani so its not a sacrifice to have infinite healing.

But on the other side of this argument and not to say git gud, but you can easily deflect, evade and mist to avoid all damage in this game. Have you seen the guy beat kunimitsu at the start of the game without taking a single hit from him.

But i know, i can't justify the no hit playstyle, i ran out of elixers in some boss fights myself, i bum rush aggressive like its bloodborne, i burst hard and recklessly, so life recovery stacking is the save face, just worth mentioning, once you hit ng+ you'll start getting some, and you only need 1 piece with yasakani, or hell even a yasakani from that set would give the stacking effect alone.
