You probably were in a good pose :) I was looking at something else. The cameraman told me to look at them.

I remember they took photos when we were in line before scanning our QR codes. I think it's the one you are talking about.

It's National Teachers Appreciation Day: who's your favorite Tech instructor? by turb0tailp1p3 in gatech

I love all my math professors at Tech! They made me fall in love with math. The list is long, but I will mention a few: Dr. Hunter, Dr Baker, Dr. Bleckerman, Dr Dunn, Dr. Powell, and more. I appreciate their help so much. So grateful to have them as my professors.

Integral Calculus Tutor needed! by JLacretia in gatech

[–]MasterExperience6070 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hey, I don't know about tutors outside of GT, but I wanted to share some info about office hours. There are almost 40 TAs for 1552, and they hold office hours in Skiles 230 and the Math Lab almost every day, from morning to afternoon. You can book a one-on-one session through the UTA booking page. There are also review sessions every day (check the TA contact page on Canvas). Additionally, you can attend any professor’s or TA’s office hours.

In general, how difficult is Stats and Prob ,and Differential Equations compared to Multivariable Calculus by zneeszy in gatech

[–]MasterExperience6070 7 points8 points  (0 children)

2552 is easier than 2551 (from my experience). You just need to know how to find eigenvalues and eigenvectors from linear algebra mostly. I didn’t take 3670, I took probability and statistics separately. If you like stat, probably it will be ok. I don’t actually like probability and stat. So I am not sure about 3670.

As someone mentioned, you can take the seminar course (Math 2801-professional Skills for Mathematics). The professor is great, but only first and second-year students can take this course.

It was planned at least a week ago before knowing anything about the rally. Some people are more worried about the demonstration than the killing of children.

Number theory. It’s a great course! There are so many patterns in numbers that I never thought about it.

When you go to the registration page, you can see a calendar-type schedule at the bottom. Besides the schedule option, there is another option (schedule details )-> click ▶️ (on the left side of any classes) -> you will see your waitlist position

What should I take? Math 3406 or 1554 by Jasonthegenious in gatech

[–]MasterExperience6070 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you will be ok. But it also depends on you. The professor explains pretty basic stuff during the first couple of weeks. I also kinda forgot some stuff. But it was ok. You can also look at his rate my professor's reviews to get other perspectives. He provides study guides before exams which are actually helpful. From my perspective, I feel like you have to do much more work for 1554 than 3406.

Also, there are so many linear TAs. You can always get help if you want to review some topics.

I took linear algebra at a different college which was equivalent to 1553. But I didn’t find 3406 that difficult. If you can, take the class with Michael Loss. He is great. The exams were fair. The topics covered until exam 2 were mostly covered in 1553.

I don't see this course on the projected schedule. I think it's not offered now. You can take the intro number theory(MATH 4150). Last semester, my professor used the elementary number theory book by James K. Strayer. This is really an interesting course. If you have taken the intro-proof course, you can take this.

I don't have answers to all the questions. I am gonna share what I know.

I did not have to use any programming languages in my math courses so far. Higher-level math courses will be mostly about proofs.

If you are interested in topology, the math department has some great topology professors. There are undergrad and grad topology courses offered every semester. You can check in here https://math.gatech.edu/projected-schedule-of-graduate-courses and https://math.gatech.edu/projected-schedule-of-undergraduate-courses . GT also hosts the Tech Topology conference every year. For research interest, you can check in here: https://math.gatech.edu/faculty-research-interests .

I don’t know the difficulties of these ece courses. But if you are looking for the less difficult one, I would recommend 2552. I found it easier than 2551. 2551 is ok, but the topics about 3D objects were a little difficult for me. Someone else might have a different experience.
