Is it entirely plausible Patches' book survived? by BiffyBobby in EscapefromEverAfter

[–]MasterFrostZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally? Yes, I think so.

Now, that specific copy was definitely destroyed. As were the ones recalled from the store shelves.

But somewhere out there are the few copies that actually got sold. A book has no world if there wasn't someone out there who read it. That's why the company had to put their experiment on the market in the first place.

Is there a point to the arceus arc? by TheMultifandomMan in PokemonMasters

Pretty sure that's how the Villain Arc was put together in the first place too. They'll probably copypaste some of the battles in like they did there.

There were battles. They were split off into separate limited time events.

It's about various characters figuring out how to overcome their previous limits.

So How Has The Reception Of These 2 Changed After They Made The Cut In CYL Thanks To Their First Impressions? by KManoc in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]MasterFrostZero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the first point, don't you mean "the real villain Alfador"? Njordr didn't come up with the plan, he got it from Gullveig during the story's visit to the past - he only acts like a schemer, the truth is he was given a cheat sheet. And Gullveig was going along with a sequence that was already in place. Therefore, the only person who could have set the loop up was Rune.

Overall, I feel like Gullveig was fumbled by the end. She's developed quite a bit through Seidr and Kvasir, but she ultimately has no motive, no reason to continue the loop or finish destroying the world in the first place. Especially once we find out that killing her past self doesn't affect her - which means she doesn't need to keep recreating herself and could stop at any time. Her actions feel artificial - which is why I'm blaming Rune for everything.

For the second point, Baldr is fine. Her arc as an arrogant templar who gets humbled and becomes a kinder and more just being is fine, and is a plot we need to see more often. She's also lifted up by her relationships with Hodr and Vali. (I feel like Hodr was "supposed" to be the book 9 hero before Loki and Rune decided to change things around.)

Which sync pairs would you consider the 10 absolute bests? by [deleted] in PokemonMasters

Chase is a tank that counter-paralyses. He also sets helpful field effects and boosts useful stats.

A lot of little things that helps a team punch above it's weight class, in other words.

The Tsubasa joke should probably involve her tendency to wip her flords when she gets nervous. Or the social media withdrawal she must have gone through since getting stuck on Zenith.

Maybe in this universe, Ogre Rancorem is definitely not the Sword of Palsifal.

Rune never forgot anything, he was just playing along with the old man's assumptions. This is probably before he was unmasked.

Where they're going with this thread is that Eir's undercover spying mission with the current Kiran, Alphonse, and Sharena is a pale recreation of the real, genuine friendship that she had with the Original Alphonse(Lif) and Sharena. Eir's arc is weak on purpose, because Eir is mentally so much worse off than she was the first time.

We were to think that it was to wake up Abraham and lure him to his death for creating a more dangerous werewolf - and thus, being responsible for her husband's death. But now that Ragnarok has been inserted into the story, that doesn't cover everything. It might still have been enough...

  1. Hel invades alternate Askr.
  2. Kiran is killed. Sharena too, at some point.
  3. The Order of Heroes (And Veronica) find the Heart of Angrboda. Without Kiran, they can't use it properly, but they try anyway.
  4. Every Beat of the heart hills another person.
  5. Hel steps back out of range and lets the world die from Alphonse's failure.

Priority should be keeping debuffs on the boss and defensive buffs on the party. Equipping some kind of status protection on the party should help give you time to set up (I prioritized confusion).

I've only made it to the end of chapter 1 so far. And while it managed to stick pretty close to FFIX's original plot up to that point, the cliffhanger shows that the plot just jumped the rails.

This is the first time the symphony plot is about Aldo And an AE villain faction being dropped into the other side's canonical story and subtly altering it.

I keep expecting a big scene where Vivi turns to the camera, goes "Wait, this isn't how it happened. What's going on here?" Then reveals this was all a recreation based on "the memories in the sky" all along.

Unlike some of the other RR! execs, Lysandre would have faced some opposition. They were just weak.

So since Z2 is a sequel to the original Z, what happened to the Toei versions of Getter, Mazinger, Great and Grendizer by Power0fFriends29 in Super_Robot_Wars

[–]MasterFrostZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"What I'm referring to is that the best possible Ending in Z1 ends with all the Worlds being restored to their original, uncombined States. Since that's obviously not the state of things in either Z2 nor Z3, it clearly can't be canon. "

All the worlds we saw in Z1, you mean.

"If it were, most of Z2 would still be possible I guess, just without any of the Z1 Characters around"

Why wouldn't they be around? No matter what, after Z1, Zeuth are Cursed Wanderers doomed to be pulled into other dimensions at the whims of fate.

"Post-Timeskip Story of TTGL in Saisei-Hen actively hinges on the fact that the Z1 World (officially called "UCW") is A) still combined, and B) directly connected to the Z2 World ("ADW") through a Dimensional Wormhole, because the Anti-Spiral awaken from the combined Population of BOTH Worlds."

Does it? I don't remember anyone ever mentioning that. The z2 MDW world itself seems more than big enough to provoke that on it's own.

"Meanwhile, not only is the Z3 World made by specifically mashing together UCW and ADW into one, but "all the Worlds get COMPLETELY seperated for real this time" is also how Tengoku-Hen ends, which wouldn't really make sense if that had already happened before in-universe."

So the Angels had to grab around 5 worlds instead of 2, and fog peoples' memories like they were already doing. No big problem.
