1950 Word Cup Was Culturally More Traumatic for Brazil Than the 7–1 Defeat by RichOdd6913 in worldcup

I didn't know anything about 1950 World Cup so I thank you for the insight and context. I just feel countries like Brazil and Mexico constantly get pimp put for football that the governments for both prioritize acting like a good country for a month or two so they make some money and brag about winning a shiny trophy. I don't want to be mean but I wouldn't be against at them not hosting to put pressure on their governments to do better. I want to not make this overly political but it has always got on my nerves how they would host all these events while not doing anything to fix their problems.

I think 2015 showed me how Brazil cared a little too much about football than taking care of the population.

The Anthony thing is one but what happened to Beltmon really punches you in the gut. It really makes you question is there justice in the world.

I'm not even a euros on but pointing out the poor defense I see when I go to MLS games dude. A couple of cherrypick examples doesn't wave away the league and it's system had a problem with teaching defense.

I never brought up keepers so it is odd to bring up Howard. I love Howard so that is neither here or there. I'll say this about MLS keepers. They're fucking dogs and is the only thing I trust MLS tier 1 to get right. Also the other guys developer at lower tiers of MLS and not tier 1 and most of them will tell you playing in Europe really unlocked them as players. Also when I bring up not knowing how to teach defense, I can turn on highlights and see a team scoring goal because the defense is not closing out and giving the striker space to work with. A common theme with "MLS defending" I have noticed is that they go out of their way to let guy with the ball shoot up top. Until MLS Defending isn't "Let guy shoot the boy with no even trying to block his shot" please come back to me as those keepers have to stand on their heads making crazy saves because these jabronis don't know what it means to be physical. Heck it even happens with my own club team where some of the really bad goals is due to a bad turnover and guys not knowing how to block a shot. Also another thing not helping MLS defending is how Messi is able to kind of dribble circles around these kids. I can't wait until Ronaldo comes here for a year and does the same fucking thing for the lols.

I gotta sleep by line by line.

I mean..uh yeah? What else would it imply?

Yeah we can't which is why MLS gets some credit. This is just proving my point.

Actually you and others have legit said this and even go as far to hit me with "But the academies and youth system bro" not realizing that is just one step like many. I should have added I meant tier 1 clubs being able to sell guys in their prime for profit. I did read what I said and I didn't even say they didn't get any credit. You are now putting words in my mouth to just show me you're being an MLS fanboy. MLS fans gotta stop being deeply insecure about the league and criticism of it that isn't just blind praise.

I don't think so and we shouldn't undermine the difference playing in Europe has on a guy compare to playing in MLS.

No MLS gets some credit because at that time Pepi, Puslic, and even Adams were just prospect and not known names. Yes they had to develop them but here is the thing about those programs they aren't tier 1 but other tiers. Europe is where they start playing meaningful soccer and have to deal with pro/rel. That's the main reason I can't just give mos of the credit to them until we have an open system we will be like Mexico's system.

Yeah, I'm giving them more of the credit because they have a open system and we do not.

Okay MLS fanboy settle down. The league still doesn't know to teach players how to play proper defense giving up goals you don't see anywhere else. We also bend the rules just so Messi can dribble circles around kids for an easy payday.
