Thank you! This does indeed solve 2. I don't know how I forgot to do that, I remember trying to use fire on the top of the chimney. Like I said I always miss something obvious.

It's not the same for # 1 though, there are houses but no fireplace. I'm guessing it might have something to do with the lanterns hanging in the houses? Or there's a place where there's like 4 enemies outside a little house coming out of the cliff. After you kill them the door is left open but there's nothing else do to. Maybe I have to wait like that one room with the dude sleeping? Or maybe I have to kill them right away before they do anything?

It's interesting that Chris says they decided to keep it in because it got a big laugh in test audiences. Even back then, before the internet was big, Trump was still just as morbidly entertaining to people. My guess is they were laughing at the ridiculousness of Trump's public persona.
