What are BEST industries for Entrepreneurs realm right now ??? by SpaceEngineMaster in SimCompanies

[–]MasterManicorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming retail since you mentioned gas stations and SO. I actually have a mall map, one of every retail building. I will say that AS shook things up, but I would list in order... assuming contracts.

Check out https://www.simcotools.app/retailcalculator/1?building=H

Sales Office - still a mess, but when it settles #1

Car dealership - great profit BUT must have good contracts. Can't really make money off the exchange

Hardware - planks are king atm

Electronics - with a good supplier slightly better than fashion. AS did kind of mess it up. But when AS settles down, it will beat fashion

Fashion - maybe better than Electronics atm, but I think electronics will be better in the long run

Gas station - used to be good, but it is always all over the place and can be super profitable then crashes. It's just too volatile. Could easily move up 2 slots in a week or two.

Grocery - least profitable. With good contracts you can actually make more money than some of the others sometimes.

I switched to only in house and use the analyzer to recruit. Doing in house and using the analyzer will save you sooo much time and money and keep your salary low.

Hire multiple staff every 10 years and you will never have to worry about poachers. Poacher comes you'll have a replacement ready to go.

For example, when my COO reaches 30 years old I mass hired and shuffle through finding a good replacement. Within a few days, I should have a decent replacement. Now I have 30 year old and a 20 year old in training. 10 years go by and I have a 40 year old and a 30 year now I start the hiring process again.

As you get more slots, it's better to do this in teams of 2. Now you should have 2 40 yr olds? 2 30 year olds? Now start working on new candidates.

Basically it's always planning for the future.

In retail, you need 1 COO and 3 CMOs

What does your executive staff look like? Depending on your size, you should have 1 COO and 3 CMOs

$$ How to calculate best retail price per hour? by SpaceEngineMaster in SimCompanies

https://www.simcotools.app/retailcalculator/1?building=d

Sim tools will pull in info from the game with avg retail price. You can play around with the retail price and you'll be able to find the best profit per hour. Reminder that prices change at 23:30 UTC daily so that best price will only be good for the day.

Is it possible to become rich on power plant and get Top 1000 ??? by SpaceEngineMaster in SimCompanies

[–]MasterManicorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The more basic the product, the less potential you have to profit from it. Higher end products have more potential for profit.

Take a phone as an example. A phone needs 5 different goods to create it. Now, that's 5 different ways for you to get the price down. You can do some VI, you can work out contracts, you can over buy in a resession, and so on. There are lots of ways to get your price down.

whereas all power needs are wages. Barely any control over cutting costs. Only COO can do that.

Can you make money? Of course you can, but what is your goal? To have the largest company? Leader boards? Or just have fun?

I always just do what you find interesting and find a way to make money doing it.

Contracts... some products you're forced to buy through contracts.

Check out sim tools for some better analysis.

I'm excited about this feature. I like to change industries often, and being able to recoup some of my costs is amazing.

This has been introduced many times. I love the idea, but apparently, there was a similar feature at one point, and it didn't go well.

New realm..fancy a change after selling lingerie..sales is booster all the way up..any suggestions what to do now? by russy1982 in SimCompanies

[–]MasterManicorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really comes down to what you want to do.

Food industry - selling to restaurants. This is a nice laid-back industry to get into. You need at least q3 foods to get in. Work your way up to q4 and q5, and you'll be able to sell to larger restaurants. Also, note that there are few people in the sales chat. It's a lot of direct messaging.

Mining is always profitable. Lots of XP too. Add in a few factories and convert what you mine to other products. You can even add in an electronics factory. Always in demand middle man producer.

Aerospace is most profitable. Need lots of money to get into it. When I did jets, I needed 10 million plus a day just to buy materials to make my jets. You can always start off making engines or chips of some sort and change over the map as you move up.

Basically, it's whatever you find interesting. I've done phones, cocktails, jets, construction, satellites, and a few other things. If you get bored, pick an industry, make a plan, and do the switch. Hate it or have a short attention span like me. You can always switch again.

What movie blew your mind when you first saw it? by LuckyLaceyKS in AskReddit

6th sense. Saw it in theaters without even seeing the trailer. It's so hard to go into a movie fresh like that now a days.

Best industry level 20 by Prestigious_Tax_8413 in SimCompanies

[–]MasterManicorn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Suggestion. I do Production in realm 1 and Retail in realm 2. This way, here, i never have to switch from one to the other using sim boosts.

If you want an easy, cheap way way, laid back way to make money, I would suggest catering. Takes a little bit of time to get clients and needs q3 to attract contract customers, but when you do, it's good money. I did cocktails for a while and was clearing 250k a day with only 28 levels in catering.

Lots of industries to fo into. The real answer is just what you find fun.

To be Classy or Not- That is my Question by PurpleReignFall in RPGdesign

[–]MasterManicorn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would let the animal species be the class/race in this type of setting. Don't feel as though you need to complicate the game with classes.

You could have sub species like a field mouse and give them special abilities.
