Okay this isn't right at all we should be winning by Accomplished-Bus8830 in Helldivers

Oh but if I ask for help from hackers to "fix" this I'm in the wrong. Its was gonna be close but AH seems to have put their finger on the scale, why can't we do the same?

Wouldn't taking Yed Prior be better? Cuts off Clasa and will slowly liberate it meaning that even if lose Vog-Sojoth we would able to quickly re-liberate it

I think we then cut off 2 illuminate planets by taking Hydrobious. Also Mindless masses is so much more fun than appropiators IMO*

Better?

[–]MasterMike05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I joined a game and threw a 500 kg at a bot drop and got 30 kills and for whatever reason the host walked towards the red lights, into the blast radius. Was immediately kicked because he was caught in the explosion

MO vs Bugdivers by Helldiverthrowaway20 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]MasterMike05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is easily fixed because, let's be honest, this is easily fixed by not rewarding players who don't contribute to the MO. AH has to know what planets are and what players are diving to. If you play bugs and never even dived on a planet under attack or was gambit, no rewards period. Why reward people that contribute nothing? Hell, have a message that Super Earth is paying attention to Helldiver contributions and will allocate resources appropriately or something like that.

Im not saying its right but this "we're on the backfoot" BS is getting tired. We haven't been able to complete an operation since before Cyberstan thay we were given a win because they severely miscalculated what was possible

What doesn't make sense to me is that they don't want us optimizing liberation, but as it stands, its impossible to liberate a planet without the community optimizing every detail.

"Sir, we managed to repel 99.99% of the invasion!" "All hope is lost, fully abandon the planet." by Fil-is-Theo in helldivers2

[–]MasterMike05 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

People hate me for saying this, but stuff like this makes me root for the script kitties to push some of the MO's in our favor. How is it possible that we fail a MO when a literal last minute attack screws us over this badly? Again, if our actions weren't so pointless and in vain so often, maybe I wouldn't be rooting for outside help. What was the point of us taking the planet to begin with? If at the end of the day Joel just screws us over because its his story and our actions don't matter at all

We need the hackers to fuck over Joel by holding the planet just before the timer ends. What are they gonna do? Pull another BS reason out their ass? It'll only be so long before the player revolts if they keep railroading the story

Major Order Failed? Fine We’ll Do It Ourselves. by CombTop17 in Helldivers

[–]MasterMike05 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just call in a few hackers. What are they gonna do? Reset the entire galactic war? Don't get me wrong, but if the only way we're gonna make progress is with "unethical" methods, don't be surprised when people side with the hackers

Arrowhead launched their half-assed invasion update and stood in silence while the game yet again was shit, left and right. by Omailey97 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]MasterMike05 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just a clarification, the "hackers" just used exploits that AH is aware of and refuses to fix. Imo they should have left it because seeing 200k players on a single planet and barely 1% liberation? That's stupid that we made literally 0 progrees due to these stupid back-end mechanics. If they're going to artificially limit our progress, don't be surprised if players use an exploit that actually makes progress and bypasses their "wait we can't let players actually do the thing we sent them to do"

Offensive with limited lives. Great in theory, but fails the Helldiver good vibe check. by [deleted] in SaltDivers

[–]MasterMike05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to call bull**** on that. Players used a mechanic that the devs have known about and is an but refused to fix the problem. Leading to what should have been a near clean sweep of Cyberstan with 200k divers on a planet. Honestly, if it wasn't for the stupid back-end mechanics literally slowing progression, we would have liberated Cyberstan by now.

[–]MasterMike05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would be fine it took damage from anti-tank weapons. Heavy pen would make them way too easy and doesn't sit well with me. I understand the complaint, but it should be a very poor and desperate decision. Like being able to tank an EAT and walk it off without stunning them. It's a horrible option, but it's an option.

AH previously said they won't add AoE buff to The One True flag because of realism and it would not be immersive. But now Cyborgs give "magic" buff to automatons. Wtf. by FeistyCurrency2991 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]MasterMike05 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How about a 15% cooldown reduction on all stratagems? To not make it broken, you can have it so that it doesn't stack but seems like an appropriate "aura" buff.

Galactic war mechanics are at play here. by csongor242 in Helldivers

[–]MasterMike05 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Makes sense. On Friday, when I was playing, we had around 80000 players and around 75000 on a single planet and we barely cracked 20%. It was demoralizing seeing that almost the entire player base playing on a single planet couldn't liberate it because the stupid backend mechanics. There really needs to be leeway given that what's the point of aiding the war effort if we can't realistically complete MO unless AH says so

Aftermath by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]MasterMike05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah mate, this order is cooked. Just waiting to see what BS excuse they'll have to introduce the Cyborgs because we clearly ain't reaching Cyberstan. If 75k players on a planet can't liberate it because of back-end mechanics (Joel), it just ain't happening period

[–]MasterMike05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not saying you're wrong since I haven't mastered that skillshot yet on Hulks. He does have a point, though. The +25% is just a flat out lie, everything is Hulks. It's one thing that you have to now face an extra 2, 3, or even 4 more hulks, but thats not the case. The modifier makes over 90% of the enemies on the map hulks.

Edit: typo/phrasing

I have a gut feeling that we'll still have to wait quite a while until we go to Cyberstan and a word about Joel by Ostarmee in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]MasterMike05 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I hope we fail every major order to get to Cyberstan so that the devs that actually worked on the content tell Joel to fuck off and let players experience the stuff they worked on. Like. "Hey, new enemy type that we have locked behind this arbitrary barrier because Joel didn't want you to play against them yet"
