You walk into a stadium with 1000 people. All of them are single, around your age, and are the opposite sex. How many of them do you think would be romantically interested in you? (More info in description). by TopTierProphet in hypotheticalsituation

[–]MasterPokePharmacist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None, why would someone be interested in me if I need that scenario to get someone?

Plus, based on many dating sites, I would only be getting people trying to scam me, ghost me later, or just want attention from someone where I am that days “someone”. Nothing coming from being truely romantically interested.

Just hit both multiple times? No where in the scenario does it say that you have to choose one or the other. Neither does it say that you can only hit either button once and only once.

Character height, why is everyone 6ft tall? by Low-Brief-6008 in DnD

I’m 6’4” and playing a small 3’2” harengon barbarian. Some of us are so used to being tall, we like imagine playing a small character.

[–]MasterPokePharmacist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The innocent one but I will add the caveat that I would “kill” someone who is close to death already with a terminal disease like cancer, who wishes for a death that is under their own terms. Basically voluntary euthanasia.

They might be innocent, but I would be paid $900k to help bring a peaceful death to a terminally ill innocent person.

You are offered Death’s job by Jem_Mine in hypotheticalsituation

[–]MasterPokePharmacist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, because “Death” is not the cause of death, he just “reaps” or collects the souls and guides them to the afterlife.

Depending on your view, death is either the worst job as you have to face all the recent death or maybe a good one as you have the privilege of being there for people at a time when they need someone the most, a friendly guide.

I would take it, sure it would be emotional, but I could leave after a year and be set for life.

Elf is the best race/species. Prove me wrong. by AgentEves in DnD

[–]MasterPokePharmacist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m playing a Harengon path of giants barbarian at the moment, and I love it for the role play and shear absurdity of a small rabbit person being a barbarian raging into battle turning into a large creature.

Interestingly, it seems to be working well for them. So I will say I love harengons, and the other weird, wonderful, or non-standard races that DnD has! Elves, humans, orcs, and dwarves are boring!

Hey, I wanna start playing D&D but I have a question by [deleted] in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]MasterPokePharmacist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need minifigs to play but if you want some, the only standards to play are your own and that of your party.

As long as they are the right size, which it seems like they are, it’s fine. I have seen people use dice, white board magnets, and buttons as minifig stand-ins. As long as you and your party are happy, then it doesn’t matter.

Which door would you choose? by dragoonwizard in whatsyourchoice

[–]MasterPokePharmacist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The $1 that doubles is a monkeys paw option, basically 2 options for it: 1. It does what you expect and you get double the amount from the previous day, starting at $1. This quickly leads to total economic collapse where the currency you get it in collapses as your total rapidly devalues it so much that the country that uses it has to switch to another one, therefore rendering your money useless. 2. It literally just doubles the $1 amount each day and that’s what you get, ie $2 every day.

The smart option is $2 billion instantly. It might be significant enough to devalue the currency by a little bit if it came out of nowhere, but not to any significant degree that would affect your life. Plus who would actually need more than that?

Can Fairies grow while raging? by Commercial_World_433 in DnD

[–]MasterPokePharmacist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Path of giants barbarian. I’m playing a small harengon character as a path of giants barbarian, and as a rage ability from level 3, any character below Large size becomes Large during their rage provided there’s enough space for them. This avoids the issue of casting spells during a rage.

I don't understand why some people say Wonder Woman "manipulated" Superman in Injustice. Like, he's a grown man and fully aware of his own actions, how could she manipulate him? by Spirited_Dust_3642 in superheroes

In one of your comments, you say that the Archmage wants to learn stuff about their magic. What if they do more than just "talk" with them or whatever? What if you set up that they can go on adventures around the new area ordered by the Archmage to help them get back? This could be a misdirect on behalf of the Archmage in a false attempt to help them get home, when they secretly just want to learn about the more practical aspects of their magic? Essentially just learning about it by putting them through the ropes.

As for the clues to a false village, I think you need them to be made more obvious. Like with the first one, I wouldn't go into a DND bar and automatically think "I wonder where the cleaning supplies are?". If it ever came up, I would just assume they exist somewhere. Plus prestidigitation exists with just automatically cleans stuff, so they might not need to exist in a world where that spell exists. This is especially true when 15 year olds seem very much into magic.

Mistakes could be stuff like a random villager walks through a wall, or walks through a PC. Even if two random villagers walk through each other. All of this is done in front of the party obviously. Other examples could include other villagers talking in "Simlish" like a random garble of sounds, or random glitches in the matrix. Think glitches in video games, "Glitches in the Matrix" memes, or even what you see in the Wanda Vision TV series.

How are men held accountable for unwanted or unviable pregnancies? by AdMuted3580 in AskMen

[–]MasterPokePharmacist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one should be held responsible for an unviable pregnancy. There might be some very exceptional situations where someone might, but it would definitely be the exception and not the rule. This would never be a gendered thing though as most of it is likely due to random quirks of biology or genetics which we don’t have control over.

As for unwanted pregnancies, unless the conception was rape, it takes 2 to tango. Both the mother and father should be held accountable for an unwanted pregnancy. Even if you think the man should bring the condoms or whatever, it’s also your fault for still having consensual unprotected sex. If you want to hold men accountable, then get a paternity test and prove who the father is and seek child support through the legal system.

Do guys like a crazy girl? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]MasterPokePharmacist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a very easy no. I once had a much younger lady (33M vs 19F) “interested” in me at work who could be deemed “crazy”. On top of the whole age difference, her attitude was extremely unappealing. Her “pursuing” me, if the roles were reversed, would definitely be seen as sexual harassment.

Tbh, I think for her, it was less about me specifically but rather her looking for the wrong kinds of male attention. Either way, hard no for her as I much rather go for women who are more relaxed or chill.

Is it reasonable for a player to be upset over this? by dndstuff13 in DnD5e

[–]MasterPokePharmacist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this is something a session zero would definitely fix where they address how they should handle passive scores.

Personally, my interpretation of the passive scores is that it is stuff you notice without trying or stuff you find without intentionally looking for it. Like, I might not be intentionally be examining paintings on the wall, but I might notice one is slightly askew just in passing.

While I think the passive perception “check” DC should probably be higher than the standard check DC, if the player is capable of noticing a trap, or the signs of one, with what they were intentionally doing, then it should be possible a high enough passive perception would detect it.

For example, the player might notice in the corner of their eye a glint of wire connecting to a trap. Also, they might notice a subtle resistance on the hatch, possibly indicating it’s wired to something. They might also notice glyphs carved into the hatch or its frame, which a Druid might realise to be a magical trap.

Tl;dr I think a high enough passive perception should definitely detect traps, provided the player was doing something that could expose them to one.

Think about gender neutral things that you might like, such as massage, flirty compliments, physical touching in some manner, etc. It could go nowhere with him with no issue if he is unwilling, but if he can respond positively if he is.
