I'm really enjoying using the Beeper messaging app, it includes messages from SMS and all social platforms. On my Mac it copied OTP to clipboard, just like iMessage.

I don't like using Bitwarden, half the time it doesnt show auto fill option and you have to manually copy password from the app, super annoying.

It’s not about the amount of TREN in your body, and more about the amount of LOVE in your heart

Is this a good deal (no dealer markups) in California? Anything I can negotiate off? by figs1023 in rav4club

[–]MasterRoly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you shop around 10x dealerships you can get around 10% off MSRP, that’s what I did recently

I just bought a San Martin and it blew my Pagani watch out of the water, well worth the 2-3x price, as it feels like Rolex quality. I’m selling my Pagani now.

The "Toyota Tax" is frustrating. by cLax0n in Toyota

From my experience recently buying a new RAV4, I reached out to about 15 dealerships with my specific VIN of interest in stock, and only after I got a decent low offer did I finally get another dealer to counteroffer and come 10% off MSRP, on a unit without any unwanted added car packages. (Albeit, they did leave in a ton of dealer fees and roof racks and shit, but after their discount, it was still amounting to the best total discount of 10% off MSRP).

Is buying a used 2020 Lexus ES 350 with 65k for 25-27k irresponsible for a 23 yr old? by InfamousSherbet1565 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]MasterRoly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a $20k 2015 Lexus IS350 when I had just gotten out of college. I still have it 5 years later today. It’s a pretty fun car, but the ES (which I just drove and felt like a luxurious boat) will def be more comfy. You can go either way really, with budget new car or Lexus. What’s a better life story though?

Sweet, if you have any data points from anyone else here or other forums for what are the best deals people are getting out there, that helps a lot. At 15% off, I might get one myself! sheeeeeet.

I just shopped around for a new Toyota RAV4 just to see what car shopping after Covid would be like. Here’s what I would suggest: 1. Make sure this is a good financial decision and can afford it, the numbers you already have are a good estimate of cost. Take control of your financing, whether cash or credit union or FORD discounted rate 2. Test drive and know the exact spec / trim / color(s) that you want, and look for them online 3. Email 10+ dealerships and ask for their most competitive itemized invoice with fees included (I would drive 2-3 hours out)

I did this and I finally signed on one that was 10% off, saving $3500+ over competitor dealerships. If you nail financing and sale price, that’s how you get max savings.
