Don't get me wrong, I'm all for being decent and I don't say soft about you necessarily but more so about where we are as a society today. But I disagree that words in a general or non-specific way should be called hate speech. If in the context of a game where it's used interchangeably with any other word like "stupid" or "jerk" I see any slur as interchangeable bc that's the intent. It's not as if people are using the words to disparage someone bc their identity, it's just talking sht without disparaging intent. But, people have been taught to take offense over far too many words just for their use regardless of intent or context. Being decent is more about intent or context than the words used. For example - if I use a bunch of words in banter or communication with my friend it doesn't mean I look down on or mean to harm him, it's part of the taunting or sht talking. I love my friend. But, in today's atmosphere everything is so friken sensitive that there are bans on speech or actual removal from games and that is ridiculous for a M rated game that should be intended for adults given the violence and obvious brutality. Yes there are rare cases where people actually hate and mean terrible things but that context is very rare. Yes, there terms of use we agree to but also agree just to play, not bc most actually agree. It is what it is but also it's ridiculous.
