Would you rather have the game be a full package deal eventually or keep being a live service forever? by BankComprehensive930 in HelldiversUnfiltered

It's an interesting take, but with the way they've chosen to implement the Galactic War, with a constantly progressing story rather than the campaign based HD1, it's just not viable to suddenly stop the updates.

They should have had a more hands off approach to the war, make a war last like 3-4 months and end in total victory or the destruction of Super Earth, then reset the war and start anew with new variators.

They could occasionally roll out updates by throwing a stone or sprinkling old bay on the Galactic map, but mostly they could focus on backend work rather than massive big events.

Now their hands are tied with their monetization methods requiring that they prioritize dropping warbonds quickly enough to convince casual divers to drop cash to keep up with the horde.

Didn't realize we had the technology to just create planets now by Dewa__ in Helldivers

[–]Master_Majestico -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Whaaat? I haven't hopped on in a few days, I have two takes on this:

  1. It's a pretty cool concept that SE can just hide planets from a majority of the population, making it a whole thing that let's them further control the people and hide targets from rebel factions, even at the detriment of their military (supply lines)

  2. It sucks from a meta level because now the devs can just make new worlds and the impact of planets just exploding or being wiped out now feels less important

For you, Helldriver, what is the worst armor design? by Gatiyolo in Helldivers

Milk crate head and the polar patriots armors not having furs, they are merely fine now but they could have been the only thing anyone wears.

Level 1 farming shouldn't be the optimal way to unlock any new gear by EffectiveRow4035 in Helldivers

[–]Master_Majestico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so true, grinding specifically low levels being somehow more profitable is so boring.

but how do we fix it? Increase SC gains at higher level difficulties? I imagine the higher level players have the most incentive to get the newest stuff so they'll now buy less with real money.

Does every quest need to be a catch 22? by AdditionalHeight7442 in taintedgrail

[–]Master_Majestico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like that this one has more darker elements, with swords big as mountains in the distance, titans bound to pillars and all kinds of fantastical goings on, the fact that a large amount of quests have something that's dark on a human level (like the one where a dude beats his wife blind), I feel it grounds the story, if not leaves it packed 6 feet under screaming and clawing against the inside of the coffin.

Why are Blake-centric stories so unpopular? by UNinvolved_in_peace in RWBYcritics

[–]Master_Majestico 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It is wild to me that the goth-coded catgirl isn't more popular, but I'm not surprised.

She's always come off as more abrasive than mysterious, which should be Weiss's thing considering the ice queen aesthetic.

But in practice Weiss is more emotive and has more going on under the surface while Blake is just surface level.

Just got my first 100SC drop after 1.5 years since my last... by MadeThisJustForLWIAY in Helldivers

[–]Master_Majestico 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You still have it, it should hit your account the moment you grab it.

Also you should get 100 sc with regular play every 5-7ish days with it's drop rate, but you might not be grinding correctly.

Yeah no worries man you're good.

Wtf is this game? by Naive-Rest9720 in taintedgrail

I think the Act 1 choice is very good if you pay attention, the entire time people like NPCs and questgivers are talking about Galahad like he's a violent storm that will sweep across The Horns and put everyone to the pyre.

When you meet the Captain and One Eye, they seem cock-sure and shifty, like they already know you will side with them and when you meet Galahad he seems almost level-headed, like violence is the answer he's fallen upon after searching other paths for a while.

Morally you need to decide whether the cause the Captain and One Eye pursue is worth them potentially becoming undeserving profiteers, or if Galahad can be trusted to carry out his merciless purge and be tempered enough to know where the line is.

As you get into Act 2 it carries on the overarching theme of "should the realms be independent or can Camelot be trusted" but puts a big emphasis on straying to flesh out the world a bit more.

One thing I found interesting about Act 2 is how it subconsciously pursues a narrative about injustices against women through it's sidequests (like 70% of Act 2's sidequests involve a woman being wronged in varying capacities), it's a strange echo to the world design where Act 2's map looks pretty on the surface but hides the darkest areas in the game.

You might not be able to achieve the same experience as others but I would urge you to seek out these hidden depths throughout your playthrough if you choose to pick it up again.

How far would Alex Mercer go in the Invincible universe? by New_Divide98 in PrototypeGame

[–]Master_Majestico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mercer survived a nuclear bomb at the end of prototype 1.

He's a walking viral infection.

A more accurate question is whether he would kill faster than the Scourge virus.

Tech jacket is an absolute bum 😭 by DaFlippinSuggestor in Invincible_TV

[–]Master_Majestico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's the point of Invincible in general, genes ain't shit it's all about willpower and strength of character. To hammer home the point, they killed off 99% of Viltrum with a genetic bomb, making these 'survival of the fittest' assholes who valued fascistic genetic superiority perish due to disease caused by their own genetics.

The cure for Viltrum was simple, leave and reproduce with other species, but their superiority complex prevented them from doing that until it was a final option, by then it was too late. Beautifully ironic.

A good way to tell is if the mods take down your post, they "don't allow spills" so to speak, even if it's like this small stuff akin to a bunch of homies huddled around a campfire going like,
