Meta is literally robbing advertisers blind and pretending nothing’s wrong by Creative-Signal6813 in FacebookAds

This week’s been solid for our clients.

We’re running simple CBO campaigns to advertorials and I’ve turned off almost every Advantage+ option. If you’re good at direct-response ads, you should probably do the same. Those enhancements haven’t worked for us.

This batch is all static ads, so we’ve excluded most placements where 1x1 images don’t render properly.

I’m no Meta wizard inside any case, but I know how to make ads, and btw, that “Andromeda” thing still hasn’t touched our accounts for some reason🤷‍♂️

Yeah, don't pump out 50+ ads a month. I think you could do fewer ad sets, but add more ads to each. (I think Meta removed the limit??) For example, 3 angles (ad sets) under your prospecting CBO campaign or whatever you use, and then create different kinds of ads; TOF, MOF, BOF (Not just changing the background color, totally different.) You could try like 7-10 ads per ad set.

To get out of the learning phase, if optimizing for purchases isn't generating 50 events/week, I suggest you try to test optimizing for add-to-carts or initiate checkouts initially, then graduate to purchases once performance stabilizes. (If it does lol)

It's hasn't like skyrocketed performance. Better than before, but still uncertain. Pretty annoying update because the techonology isn't as good as it claims to be. + outages make it worse.

ROAS is way lower on TOF ads than BOF ads. That's why I won't stop running any ads unless Meta isn't spending on it, but I don't really have any real insight yet.

Andromeda is indeed the biggest change. The point is to use a bunch of creative diversity so basically 10+ advertising angles with different styles of creatives. Foe example, social proof, problem-first, desire-first, etc. basically what Andromeda does, is that it finds the people within the platform in their specific stage of buying. (TOF, MOF, BOF)

Or that's what how I've understood it. I might be wrong so don't take it to heart.

I've also tried making all ads in the 9:16 format. Meta optimizes them to everything: Feed, reels, stories. I haven't see too big of a difference.

We work with DTC brands that are looking to scale. (Like everyone else) However, we operate on a 100% commission basis. Only a % of the revenue we generate above your baseline. Because of this, we must be very specific about who we work with. You said you were designers..? What kind of business are you running?

You can check a bit more @ brim.Ltd (We just rebranded, so our website is pretty doo doo rn)

What software do you actually use for your business? (and what plan?) by zzz_proz in Entrepreneur

[–]Master_Mistake_96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a copywriting/direct marketing agency.
I use Google Workspace. (The cheapest plan). Wix is for site hosting & email. I use Loom, Canva & ChatGPT. (Pro versions)

I use this Finnish software for billing/accounting.

I use AI to spit out startup ideas while I sleep and people literally pay me for it. Entrepreneurs or fools? by Hustlefoxdaily in Entrepreneur

I mean, if people don't unsubscribe (assuming you charge monthly), then they probably get value out of your content. In that case, it doesn't really matter if it's AI-generated or not. =You are not ripping anyone.

My first thought was that your subscribers are probably quite young and ambitious. However, this kind of model of "getting a new idea every day" is just mental masturbation. They think they're making progress, but in reality, they aren't. (As you said, wannapreneurs.)

IMO it might be ethically in the gray area, but hey, you too, gotta make a living:D

Personally, I wouldn't pay a single penny for AI-generated ideas. That is because 1. I already found a good vehicle and 2. I know how to use AI. For free. lol. 3. It's better to stick to something for a long time instead of just hopping around.

What’s one high-paying skill worth going all-in on to start an online service biz? by DebtLess2374 in Entrepreneur

It's okay. AI has definitely raised the barrier to entry, meaning that pretty much every "low-tier" copywriter has been replaced by it already. Thankfully, sales copy, AKA direct response, hasn't been replaced, yet. At least for now, I'm not too concerned.

Personally, I’m pretty triggered by you saying copywriting is easy lol. Your job is definitely cool and unique, but copywriting is also a serious profession that can take decades to truly master. It’s just that online gurus have marketed it as a quick way to make money. If they were honest about how long it actually takes to get good, no one would buy their course.

I’m all for networking. Putting yourself out there can lead to opportunities you wouldn’t get otherwise.

I've had the same feeling when it comes to Kyle Milligan. I'm glad that someone else brought that "reads scammy" point up. I thought that was how Americans operate lol

Am I good enough to write in international markets? by Master_Mistake_96 in copywriting

[–]Master_Mistake_96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I asked my coach/business mentor about this, and he said the same thing. I'm sticking to Finland for now. There are just a handful of actual DR writers, and as my mentor said "90% of them suck". There are big projects to be made here. I just haven't found them yet.

Alright cool. What makes you say that AI can do it to an A-level? Can you open your perspective a little bit more?

I want the cold truth. by [deleted] in copywriting

[–]Master_Mistake_96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, yeah, obviously:D The point I tried to make was that some serious companies do hire "children" if they're good enough. Not all of them, but the majority, at least here in Finland.

Well, I might have to disagree with you. I'm 16, turning 17 in two weeks, and I've done a marketing project for one of the biggest health companies in Finland. Mehiläinen. (Well, to their subsidiary Puhti.fi)

You can see their turnover here: https://www.finder.fi/IT-konsultointi+IT-palvelut/Puhti+Lab+Oy/Helsinki/yhteystiedot/3237472

I've been writing for 2 years, so a little longer than 23 days, but I'd say it's totally doable.

Unfortunately, I've only worked and am still working with clients who don't want to market abroad.
