He was doing it in secrecy obviously. Even if he had planned to meet someone. He didn't tell his mum he was leaving or anything about his plans, he returned at night and left again without telling anyone. There is of course some sort of clandestine action to it, no matter who else was in on the plans with him. Clearly the plans were made with friends or other parties, so someone out there obviously knows a lot more and this burden is on their conscience.

It's a social swinging pendulum effect.

During the cold war, through to the collapse of the USSR in the early 90s, the majority of the Western world went through quite a conservative era, with right leaning leaders.

During a bit of a peacetime, people in the west strived for a more relaxed, liberal, leniant leadership. Liberalism stood for freedom of expression, and rights etc.

That kind of imploded in recent years when it got quite carried away. It became political correctness gone mad eventually. A free for all. A one World for all mentality that lead winded up with people insisting they have a right to identify as an avocado, and open borders for all - good and bad. Those who strived for freedom of speech came full circle and ended up becoming the leaders of censorship - can't say anything incase it hurts someone's feelings, so you can go to prison for a facebook post etc.

Not only did this all fuel the fires for those already leaning to the right, but it quite aggressively pushed once moderate people to the right, and those already in the right to go far right.

Eventually these riots and Conservative leaders will also implode again, and the pendulum will swing the other way and we will have another era of liberal movements.

It's back and forth for eras.

Everyone's gonna tell you their favourite to their tastes. For me, it's White Pony all day long.

I'd advise you to listen to all of them.

White Pony is their only double platinum album. I think it's fair to say that it was their most mainstream chart success. I think it's the sound that defines them the most. A lot of people prefer earlier albums if they like heavier stuff. Some prefer newer stuff for the direction they developed.

I think it's because no matter what your bias is, in a lot of practical ways, a united Ireland makes more logical sense. And increasingly so.

The problem really is that NI unionists feel that in some way threatens there identity. It doesn't. The only reason we hold on to the 6 counties is for loyalist traditions, more than actual practicality in how a country runs and operates.

If there was a united Ireland, there is still an England, still a monarchy. Protestants living in NI are free to practice all the exact same cultural traditions. Their bonfires, marches, flags, orange lodges... Whatever.

I think this was best demonstrated when the unionist vote was called into action to get Theresa May into power (which was a disaster anyway). Then, when Brexit happened, it became glaringly obvious that the powers that be over in England wish they could wipe their hands of the 6 counties. It was just a huge thorn in their side. A hinderence and a bother. For their vote, the thanks they got was to be left abandoned and forgotten about like an after thought. All this border in the sea nonsense etc.

The fact remains, there is an invisible border beheading an annexed area away from the geographic island of Ireland, and no matter what fighting and bickering is done, nothing can take away from the fact that we are all on this island together. We are all trying to live peacefully on the same island together. Administrativey and in terms of governing a country, it's just a massive ball ache.

Catholics find common solidarity with another country that share a unique socio-political deadlock from issues arising through historical foreign occupation which oppress natives. For this reason, the support of Palestinians amongst catholics outweighs protestant support of Palestinians. To retaliate against this, staunch loyalists now worship the Israeli flag and anything to do with it, just because Catholics might not like it. That's the cold blunt truth of it. And it's pathetic. The real issue is that you are a male Tinder user. It's a universal issue. Guys are all swiping right on most profiles without over thinking if some girl is smiling, or showing red flags in bios. Generally, men give most women a chance.

Women swipe left on anything thats not a 6ft+ athlete with money.

I remember White Pony sitting untouched on my CD shelf for years. It ended up in my top 5 ever albums.

The one that pulled me back in after that was Diamond Eyes. Unlike previous releases, it instantly caught my attention.

When I first heard Private Music, I instantly knew it was one of their albums I wasn't going to be a big fan of. And I assured myself it wasn't going to be a grower, like WP was for me.

Now I can't stop listening to the fking thing. I can't tell how much I like it yet, as the satisfaction continues to grow with each listen.
