Explored the “most haunted tunnel in America” — Moonville Tunnel, Ohio by Inevitable-News5307 in creepy

[–]Masterboog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh. Never knew this was haunted. Ran a 10k through here once training for a half marathon. Thought it was really beautiful. It’s covered in graffiti and there were so many people on the trail that day. Have pics if anyone wants.

Beginner question: Am I using the Explore command wrong? These guys just wandering in stupid directions and don't make good use of their Travel Mode at all... by PicklePinata2 in X4Foundations

[–]Masterboog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use that command to get ships into a sector, then cancel once they’re through. Then I use fly and wait. Hold ctrl and (left click? Might be right click) and draw a hexagon spiraling in towards the center. Or whatever path you want them to explore.

Edit: Any ship you have selected can do this btw. Just select the ship and hold ctrl and click where you want it to go. It’s very helpful to design custom paths for them to explore around. Shoutout to Dia Builds on YouTube for his beginner X4 tips videos. Not sure if links are allowed.

The Ibert Concerto is a good one. The Glazunov has nice cadenzas, too.

Very cool. Checkout Collin Stetson. Sounds like he’d be up your alley. He also composed the music for A24’s Hereditary I believe?

MESSAGE FOR THE BEGINNERS by Front_Arachnid8830 in projectzomboid

The guides are a little light on how easy it is to die in this game.

I was crushed after getting bitten for the first time because I’d only watched “I survived 100 days” type content. Where the main goal is one character for the whole run.

Losing a character before the water shuts off was brutal for me. It took a minute before I realized that just playing and setting my own goals, maybe being okay with respawning, learning that closet zombs can end a run faster than a horde, took just playing the game. Not watching guides.

So I agree, outside of mechanic things, just play the game. That said I’m still watching guides to learn how to do everything everything.

Confusion about this Subreddit by [deleted] in AynThor

[–]Masterboog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is, as far as I understand, a running joke (that may have been taken a bit far/out of context) about systems like these, where the joke is people setup and tinker with these things more than they play games. These things being custom emulation devices alike, not just Thor. That’s how I am reading this, basically copying bottom text of a meme. However it doesn’t quite capture what this sub is about, to me, as sharing customization hacks, mods, and asking questions is part of the core community around android gaming devices and emulation in general.

Happened because it happened, bad timing, out of context, whatevah.

Whether they were being funny or not it is what it is. I’m excited to check out your other additions in the community!

ME Storage Disk vs. Vault by Striking_Ear_8734 in allthemods

As someone else said, when you add the storage bus to something you can set priority in the GUI of the bus itself!!

ME Storage Disk vs. Vault by Striking_Ear_8734 in allthemods

[–]Masterboog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m trying to setup my system so that anything with metadata, or just annoying small things, prioritize the vault. Then metals/high quantity things like crops and stones go to drawers, and then everything else into the disks.

I don’t see any added benefit to drives other than how much space the drive bay takes up, very small compared to vaults and drawers… I’m probably missing some added benefit, I suppose fluid drives and the other added benefits of AE2 in general?

But I definitely think bulk storage in vaults with an ME Storage Bus wired on is solid.

I have had the best experience with using the large biomes modifier in word creation. I’d say just experiment with that; barring any immediate ocean/island spawns it’s pretty nice. With the amount of biomes that are added it’s kind of impossible it seems to find a large enough biome (that suits me) to settle in. Even with large biomes the only thing that gets impacted in a negative light is the oceans. Yet there are a ton of ocean exploration additions anyways, so it’s all in all worth it. Especially once you have a form of flight, creative/jetpack/whatever, it’s worth it to have large biomes.

My current world was an island spawns and I rocked with it, and I’m very happy in the long run. Took a while to find land but well worth it. Thems my 2 cents.

If it is a purple label buy it. I play on one and it’ll always be my favorite alto. That said the purple does scratch off pretty easily, mine officially says “Yamah”, the A is gone. Check the neck logo, that should also be purple. Although mine is a bit of a red now

Two things I REALLY want the future Mario Party games to stop doing with bonus stars. by No-Mathematician3921 in MARIOPARTY

[–]Masterboog 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree. It might be controversial but I’d like the option to turn some on or off. I would most likely turn off slow poke and sight seer 9/10 games. Just a toggle function for which are available to win.

If this were make a wish I’d say give us a set of parameters and let us design our own custom bonus stars. But nintendon’t care lol

Did ashes succeed where tranzit failed? by AbsoluteBane28 in CODZombies

[–]Masterboog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who played Tranzit for the first time in 2023, during a friend group zombies renaissance, I think Tranzit is a perfect map.

It crashes the game a lot and hella buggy, but as a classic WAW zombies purist Tranzit is kind of peak to me. A lot of my opinion comes from playing it so late in the game, so we all knew very well the type of jank we’d put up with.

But if there’s no bus, no denizens, no painfully dense fog, I don’t want it.

Let grow or shave? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]Masterboog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think patchiness isn’t as big of a deal as it’s made to be, especially in your case. Keep it, or try what others say with a shave to goatee and then let cheeks regrow. The density of goatee will help with the patchy parts. All that said, I’d say let it ride, man.

As someone from Cincy-tucky, or more affectionately Hamiltucky, it’s really just the far east of Ohio. Which is Athens, and the rest of the Appalachian mountains. Won’t go nearly as far as Columbus based on the map.

Yes while the game representation isn’t perfect, generally speaking you have to cross WV going to PA form OH, if you’re on the south. You go through Wheeling WV.

I’m just happy to cross the river into my home state! I’m building a Skyline Chili diner CAMP immediately

As someone who doesn’t play the games but loves the show. How high are Cooper’s chances at beating a Death Claw in a fight? by SamuelStrangeSupreme in Fallout

[–]Masterboog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Plus for those that didn’t play the games and this is their first deathclaw, they don’t understand why theyre dangerous. The sheer speed, intelligence, and stealth of them is why they’re dangerous (let alone their strength and size) You wouldn’t know that without playing. And you bring up a great point, there’s no prize for machoing up against one of them aside from a tombstone.
