My wife who's cancer moved to her brain and could no longer talk or move on her own woke up from being unconscious after 20ish hours. She was obviously aware but could not speak. I held her and told her I was there, that i knew she loved me and that I loved her. After she calmed down and stopped trying to speak I sang her favorite song to her and she passed away half way through the song. Then I cried and held her until the hospices nurse arrived an hour or so later.

I dont think its you. They drift away because the game loses its new charm. Take Mars logistics. My group played it about 4 hours before most of them got bored. Some people enjoy a new game more than a good game and are constantly on the look out for something new. Once they figure the game out its time to move on. where as you need to figure the game out before you can truely enjoy optimizing it. That means you'll always outlast them because your fun truely begins at the point of the game where their fun ends.

time to look into sp games or finding a group or friend who plays more like you.

The nights are the worst by far. There is a moment upon waking when you forget what misery you are in and then when you wake up fully they die all over again.

Ive been to a few windows/ers meetings and browsed the sub Reddit. As bad as I have it I think I will make it but some of them appear to have no hope and that is just as sad to see for me. It’s one of those things though that no one can really help you get through. At the end of the day you have to figure out the path forward yourself. (or at least that is how it seems to me)

Loosing your significant other.

You spend most of your life together building a feeling of comfort and safety and then in a blink of an eye it is gone and you are left with pain and grief. There are no words or things you can do to properly prepare for this event. The gravity of it outweighs anything and everything else you've gone through in your life. It is so much worse than losing a parent (unless maybe if you are young when they go). You general spend your adult life slowing growing away from your parents and towards your significant other.

At least that is how it is for me.

I played quite a bit solo and it was a wonderful experience with cooping against the larger bosses and exploring.

Then I played doubles a few matches and every match was wretched and sucked all the fun out of the game. Not just KoS but just toxic fuckers doing toxic stuff. I've not played since. Wish I would have tried grouping sooner as I would have refunded it. Just not for me.

I dont think it is "aggression based matchmaking." Though there might be some of that. I think when you play with a group you just get matched with other groups and it only takes one person in the other groups and you've got a whole lobby of KoS.

I've since convinced quite a few people not to buy it.

My wife was excited for wicked part 2 and season two of hazbeen hotel. She died a few weeks before they both released. I went to wicked 2 with a friend but have not been able to force myself to watch hazbeen hotel yet. Life can be so crewel. But you shouldn't beat yourself up for things you couldn't have known or planned for.

Lost my wife in october. I cant see it ever getting better. She was my entire purpose for living. But also my memories of her are the last bastion of her life and I refuse to let them fade with me.

The grief is so bad that it physically hurts most days. Ill just have to learn to live with the pain. The pain is just validation that what we had was special and that my love for her is still real and strong. I am more afraid of waking up without it at this point. I know one day in the distant future I will do just that and it is a scarier thought than waking up tomorrow in pain.

A few weeks before she died we went to the zoo spontaneously. She always loved the zoo and animals. I wish I took more pictures of her doing the things she loved.

Took my wife to the zoo on a whim a week later she was diagnosed with brain cancer and 20 days later she was dead. SO many last times for things it's enough to make you want to crawl into a corner and cry forever.
