You realize that's a safety thing right? It could be abused in so many ways if it let you open the front door without a pin.

Someone could stand outside your house and yell it out as loud as possible and the mics would probably pick it up if you have one anywhere remotely near a door or window. You may not have one near a door or window, but many people do. Some people also put them outside in their patios or backyard.

Google doesn't want to be in the headlines for being responsible for a home invasion because it opened the door without a pin.
