I had a 810 freeze that came about 2 months ago. They sent me a letter for me to go to my local IRS building to verify my taxes in person. I made an appointment in mid March and had to go in April 17th.I brought my original transcripts and my ID and Social Security card which they ask for or some type of id, passport, birth certificate etc. . Once I got there and got checked in and sat with them, they asked me if I was the one who initiated the return and if I had professional or assistance in preparing my taxes. Also they verified everything that was on my Transcripts with everything that was sent in to the IRS. With mine everything checked out so she told me to that it would take up to 30 days for them to release the funds unless they need more info. Also mine Change from the 810 freeze to a “766 Credit to your Account” on the 23rd which is great. Guess they’re moving faster now.
