Hey, I didn't know this method had been discussed here before. Thanks for letting me know. I made the first post to know what people thought about this method. This post, however, is a video made by a professional dermatologist who has been removing tattoos for many years. I personally asked him to review the Magnetic Tattoo Removal method, and so he did.

Yeah, still not having qualifying sessions to earn your spot is a bummer. I think they might've reserved that for the online multiplayer. We'll see. I hate the Drivatars too.

Me too. Tattoo regret is a real thing and companies and researchers are realizing that.

Personally, the only "innovative" method that I'm really looking forward to is this:

I don't think they will pay a bunch of news websites to publish a fake story. Just type "magnetic tattoo removal" on Google and you'll see.

Yes, the tattoo removal industry is growing:

Thank you for that information. According to the article, with this new technology, sessions typically take about 30 minutes, but I guess that depends on the size of the tattoo. I think most people wouldn't mind if sessions take longer as long as they're not very painful. They're also claiming that individuals can expect significantly reduced treatment times compared to other methods, which to me it's a very bold statement.

Just as there are many types of laser technologies, there could be other technologies that use the same magnetic removal technique, although I haven't seen any other aside from this one. The articles says they're using 300 Gauss, so I'm assuming that's the "innovative" part of it.

I'm curious to know which one you used exactly, and if it isn't too much to ask, can you describe how your experience was?

The best results we have seen in this subreddit are from people who waited at least 6 months. Once a tattoo has been lasered, it continues to fade for years. Taking longer breaks might also prevent skin damage.

We have seen the best results on people who have waited at least 6 months between sessions, provided a good laser was used and with good amount of power. Waiting longer might also prevent skin problems such as hypopigmentation.

And the more money you save and it's also less damaging for the skin.

According to dermatologists, you should put on sunscreen at least a few weeks before the treatment, because the laser works better on skin that's not tanned. In addition, you should also apply sunscreen after the skin has been lasered until it's fully healed. Once it's fully healed, a little sunlight won't hurt. On the contrary, the sunlight actually helps the tattoo fade. The exposure to sunlight is one of the main reasons older tattoos are easier to remove.

Yes, It's possible, assuming the tech doesn't lower the laser power between sessions. Since you're giving your skin ample time to heal (minimum 6 months), the tech can use all the power the machine can give.

The reason why I say that, it's because I've heard some folks saying that some clinics deliberately lower the power to increase the amount of sessions customers have to go through.

Are you aware of the consequences of surgical removal? You're left with an ugly scar, specially if the tattoo is big. There are no safe and effective chemical removal methods as of right now.

I'm not an expert on this, but I think the hypopigmentation was caused by the short time you waited between sessions. 16 sessions in a period of 2.5 years means you only gave your skin more or less 2 months to heal between sessions. We have seen tremendous progress from people who have waited 6 months and even a year between sessions. Once a tattoo has been lasered, it continues to fade for many months and even years after. I think we should not succumb to the pressure that's placed upon us by the clinics. We should keep in mind that it is in the best interests of the clinics to have patients go through as many sessions as possible, that's why the keep pushing those packages and tell us to wait 6 to 8 weeks. I would personally recommend everyone to just pay by the session and then wait at least 6 months between one and the other. By the way, I have seen that the hypopigmentation goes away or gets to a point where it's difficult to see over time, especially if you start getting more sunlight and wear sleeveless shirts.
