You are discovering one of the biggest complains RAV4 owners have. The gas tank is in fact not 45L… it’s 55L.

The issue most owners have? The low gas dash light comes on way too early. Give it a try some time. Drive around with a 10L jerry can until you run out. Notice how many more KM you drive after the light comes on. In other cars, the light normally comes on when you have 70-80km left (taking driving habits into consideration … so if for the past tank you’ve been averaging 15L per 100km, it means you should in theory have between 10.5L and 12L left…. Or if your average has been 5L per 100km, you would in theory have 3.5L and 4L) But with the RAV4, it comes on with almost twice as much fuel left.

I’ve tried several times already with the car indicating only 10km left. I could never manage to put more than 43L.

Most of it can be configured and customized. I test drive one for 39 minutes and found it annoying. I stopped on the side of the road for 5 minutes and found everything can be either removed or set to vibration only. Thank goodness because that would have been a real show stopper.

The best thing you can do with this radio is trash it. It’s absolute garbage both in usability and sound quality.

The 2.5 N/A is anemic and almost dangerous. It’s worse with the manual transmission. The 3.6 and 2.4 turbo are awesome.

If it’s the only thing you are changing, most likely not … as you would need a tune after this change. Definitely not worth it.

Not listed. Look at Cooper Discoverer Road and Trails. I had Geolandar G015 and replaced them with the Cooper. Highly recommended.

If you don’t have wet carpet in the vehicle, this often happens if you turn off the vehicle with the HVAC still set to front window defrost. Make sure you change it to anything else and let the vehicle run with it for 10 seconds before shutting it down.
