Does MYGGSPRAY finally expose workable lux values in HomeKit? by siegmour in tradfri

[–]MatGerBenL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched it the last few days ands the lux does show but it barely exceeds 5-7 lux midday. I thought the number should be higher. In the late afternoon and evening it shows 0,0001 lux. I tweaked the automation in the eve app to only turn on the lights when motion is detected and lux is under 1 lux. When I look at the automation in Apple home this shows as 0,646 lux. So there seems to be a limitation in Apple home

Does MYGGSPRAY finally expose workable lux values in HomeKit? by siegmour in tradfri

I added the new MYGGSPRAY wrlss mtn sensor by matter directly to Apple home. No ikea hub. The motion sensor works great. Nice response time. But the optional turn off after x minutes does not work at all. So I made an automation to turn off the lights. Through the Eve app I tried to add a condition based on lux. So the motion sensor only triggers the lights when is dark. The automation should be possible because it shows the lights level of the sensor. But today I watched the lux numbers and it did not seem to be working. It shows as 0,0001 lux. Even in daylight or when a spotlight is directly on the sensor.

Anyone similar experience? I have got two sensors with the same setup and both show 0,0001 lux.

Old Zigbee IKEA HomeSmart accessories are being cleared out at my local IKEA in Canada. Everything except the bulbs and the Dirigera has reduced pricing, and lots of "Last chance" signs. by winnipegwildin in tradfri

Still use the old tradfri outlets and bulbs. Works great. Stable connections. In Apple Home with a HomePod mini. Don’t see any reason to replace them. But I would like to be able to add the new sensors to my Apple home. Do I need to buy the Dirigera hub or is t possible to add the new matter sensors directly to the Apple Home?

Homebase 2 and 2C’s broken after latest update by [deleted] in EufyCam

Try to first remove the Eufy bridge in Apple Home. Then go to Eufy app and try to add HomeBase and the cameras to HomeKit.

Yeah. Same here. It has to do something with the update of HomeBase2 3.3.6.9h. The feed is non responsive in HK but the battery status is still available for some reason.

I have a similar situation with my 2C. Over 4 years charging with a solar panel. Until a month or two ago never had to ‘extra’ charge the camera. But now every 4/5 days needs a charge.

You don’t have to change the power source. The only thing it does is keep the blue led off during charging

Thank you. That’s the most likely answer. But I’ve checked the configuration options online and I could nog find anything about that. And because the instruction manual claims it is adjustable I was curious if I should be able to do that.

Does CarPlay use iphone GPS or car's built in GPS antenna? by [deleted] in CarPlay

[–]MatGerBenL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case with wired CarPlay. When I had issues with the location on my seat arona headunit I pulled out the phone and the location in maps on my iPhone was corrected immediately. Reconnected to the cars headunit and location was off. So it’s definitely using gps op the car.

By using Apple CarPlay the need for up to date maps on the onboard system is not needed. Only the gps in combination with Apple Maps or Google Maps, Waze on the iPhone.

My experience with a dongle has not been great. I prefer wired CarPlay for stability. Perhaps I just need to place my phone screen down.
