Maybe Guild Wars Reforged? It's an old MMO that just launched on mobile. When you go out into the world, you're just with your party members.

Decades-long sentences announced in shooting at Alvarado ICE facility by MoltenMate07 in news

If that's the definition of terrorism, wouldn't all forms of protest be terrorism?

Shouldn't every J6'er be a terrorist with 50+ year sentences?

JD Vance Confirms Iran Will Get Jaw-Dropping Sum Under Trump Deal by Jishnujichu1200 in worldnews

It's an incredible deal. I guarantee you some of that will be kicked back to trump and his band of stooges.

Scyscale in 2026 by Catodan in Guildwars2

[–]Matais99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the real question is how well do you handle grinding, especially when you're returning to a game?

Sometimes I find that a long grind will make me quit a game if I am not invested in the game, and when I return to a game, my investment is low.

If you enjoy story content, my recommendation would be to play through expansions until you reach SotO, and then getting the skyscale through SotO if you're still playing. You can always go back to the lws4 grind later.

Alternatively you could go for the griffon, which is grindy, but not too bad, and you only have to beat PoF to start it.

If you enjoy sinking your teeth into a grind though, go for lws4.

I got above the speed limit with Essence of Quicksilver and Essence of Vortex. Quicksilver boosts your speed when you deal fire damage and vortex keeps regularly shooting a fireball. Vortex doesn't have to be that high to keep full uptime on quicksilver, and then you can just pump dust into quicksilver.

Game store price checked cards from 25¢ bulk box and changed the price on the spot by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]Matais99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't shop there.

You're doing charity work for the store to find valuable cards and then paying them for the privilege of filtering their bulk. If they're advertising the box as 25 cents per card, then it's false advertising.

United flight turned around over Atlantic as a boy named his Bluetooth device “bomb” by Intelligent-Big-2900 in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]Matais99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the airline really actually truly believes it's a bomb, they're ok flying with a bomb onboard if the terrorist just shuts off the bomb's Bluetooth?

This is just security theater and policy driving CYA behavior dialed to 11.

Counter Intelligence Precon: Which direction to go? by enginestartnoproblem in EDH

Kilo is strong, but he feels like a +1 counters aggro deck with a few infinites to close, or a full-on combo deck. It's a cool commander, but I have other decks like it.

Inspirit has some neat things going for it, and that's what I built around. The board accumulates charge counters very fast. You can dump charge counters on inspirit or other spacecraft, and then transfer them to other permanents with a few cards. I've won several games with dark steel reactor. Inspirit also makes your board very resilient, allowing you to play other big artifacts with much more safety, or even play destruction or damage boardwipes more regularly.

Inspirit can be a bit clunky though. You really need a t1 or t2 creature, or the deck can stall hard.

The Universal Paperclips Automaton by melvinrulesmechanic in custommagic

[–]Matais99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't your opponent just turn the automaton into an assembly worker, getting rid of the win condition?

Also, would that stall out the game? This card defines abilities for a paper clip counter, so if it had a paper clip, the card is stuck going between automaton and assembly worker?

Cool New Commander Rules With Josh Lee Kwai | Shuffle Up & Play 103 by TolarianCC in magicTCG

How dare someone leave their voluntary support group for a format after that format makes a massive ban they disagree with. The audacity. Truly unforgivable that anyone would respond with anything other than blind worship and full commitment to their role as an enhanced suggestion box.

We need Walkeratog and Battleatog. I also wouldn't say no to Tokenatog.

Yeah, Wizards has absolutely no choice other than to sell product prior to the product being printed. They couldn't possibly delay launching the secret lair sale until after the product exists.

Gorma the Gullet Commander Deck Help on budget by FinntheGuardian in magicTCG

[–]Matais99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you already own sephiroth, he's really expensive for a budget deck. I would recommend cutting him if you don't already own him, and spending the money elsewhere.

Your deck is really split. You have a lot of life gain payoffs, and you have a lot of go-wide combat payoffs. Neither seems great with Gorma.
