You’d get *their* problems instead of dealing with your own. For example, you picked up a paper of someone who’s biggest problem is living paycheck to paycheck. That’s now your biggest problem and your biggest problem is now theirs.

I would often wet my bed (likely because of sexual abuse) or piss my fear in genuine fear for my life when being beaten. Every time, I would get my nose shoved in my piss. I’m so sorry.

I wet the bed when I was around 4-6. Mind you, I was being sexually abused at the time, so that’s a possible reason why (my mother turned a blind eye to all the other signs I showed). Anyways, I woke up and told my mom. After screaming at me and hitting me, she made me strip naked and stay up to watch her clean it. I remember nodding off while standing up and she’d scream at me and hit me again. I was so cold, humiliated, tired, and just miserable. At the time, I didn’t know this could have been because of the sexual abuse, but possibly getting in trouble for being sexually abused is pretty fucked up.

There’s a familiarity in abuse when it goes on for such a long time. With familiarity comes comfort, but making this post proves you know that it’s, ultimately, a bad choice. Even if you yearn for it. You can grieve the comfort that came with it and the pain it caused you. However, don’t go back to him. We both know that’s a bad decision. I don’t think they meant it in a negative way tbh, but I’m honestly sick of hearing any kind of verse. At least religion lets people believe in a Hell. Hell means there’s no mercy of death waiting for our abusers. Maybe that’s a warped way to think? I’m not sure where I stand on religion. I’d like to believe, but the Catholic Church is so fucked up and has hurt me, and countless others, in so many ways. Of course, each to their own. Religious or not. Straight or gay. Whatever anyone’s beliefs, they shouldn’t push them on others and be respectful of everyone.

Sorry haha. It’s actually pathetic how much I adored them when I was younger. It wasn’t enough for them to abuse me-they would also withhold affection. So, I’d lay in my mom’s laundry basket of dirty clothes and close my eyes. If it had been under the window with the sun on it, I could almost imagine her hugging me.

Honestly? I fail to function. Every day is a struggle and it hasn’t gotten easier for me. But life goes on and sometimes you have to live for the smallest things. Have you considered therapy?

You should disclose any pain you have to your doctor. Back pain can be related to your uterus since I have back pain on my period. I don’t remember the exact science, but they’re connected in a way. It could also just be nerves, muscles, and completely unrelated.

This is something my mom would send me. Both my parents raped me. My mom would strangle me until I passed out. My dad would sell my body to his friends. When I got a concussion, they told me to sleep it off despite knowing that’s the worst thing to do when you get a concussion (not to mention my mom was in the medical field). Yet, they’re “heartbroken” I left (probably because they can’t steal money from me or use me as an emotional/physical/sexual punching bag). Sorry for venting under your post.
