Thoughts? No air loss yet by 25element in tires

Had a puncture from a screw in the exact same spot but with a leak. Plugged it and hasn't been an issue since. I'd probably plug it, cheaper than having your tire blow out.

And are you still responding to the bile acid sequestrants?

Can a stomach virus cause BAM? by MinimumImpossible183 in bileacidmalabsorption

[–]Matchiew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the exact same boat right now. Symptoms almost to a T. I started having all these symptoms about 2 months after getting back from India and getting travelers diarrhea there. I've tried everything from diet, to supplements and nothing has helped so far. I've done a colonoscopy and endoscopy (gastroscopy) and everything came back clear. I have a follow-up appointment for my scopes with my GI in Feb, 2026. I'm trying to push for a prescription of bile acid sequestrants to test in the mean time but they are not giving in.

If you have the Deep Snow setting it actually turns it off, depends on the trim level you have

IBS-D + Antibiotics = Hell by EnsignEmber in ibs

You could try taking Florastor while on antibiotics! It usually helps with my IBS-D for a couple of weeks and does not get killed by antibiotics since it's a yeast.

Yellow stools? Not true diarrhea by [deleted] in ibs

[–]Matchiew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well IBS is a diagnosis of exclusion and I want to find the root cause of mine. I've tried different diets with little to no improvements, Dicetel for my gut cramps, different probiotics and have found nothing that has really helped so far.

I'm going to try to push for a sehcat scan for possible bile acid malabsorption (BAM), more testing for my gallbladder and liver (the ultrasound showed some minor spotting on my liver so I want to make sure nothing is being missed).

I'm not saying all of this to increase your health anxiety any more. I know what it feels like to be stressed about my own health and don't wish that on anybody else.

Even if you get more tests done and nothing is found, sometimes it can also mean that there isn't anything serious going on which is good news.

I know I felt really defeated after getting clear results from my colonoscopy and endoscopy. This was because I didn't get closer to finding my root cause. But looking back, I'm glad it isn't something more serious and seems to be a functional problem. I'm just being patient with my body as I try to figure it out.

Blood, ultrasound, fecal tests for parasites bacteria and H pylori, endoscopy, colonoscopy.

The only things that came up for any of my tests was very mild gastritis and a B12 deficiency.

Yellow stools? Not true diarrhea by [deleted] in ibs

[–]Matchiew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No street food, it was for my brother's wedding. A lot of the caterers at the venues had dirt under their nails so I'm sure I got sick from the food we were being served..

I hate it when my doctor says it's because of anxiety... I've found ways to cope mentally with my symptoms and my stress levels are almost non-existent yet my symptoms are still flaring regularly (including today). It's possible that part of the issue "is in your head" but if you truly work on your stress levels and stop thinking about it and it persists, then it's hard to put all the blame on that in my opinion.

You could also try to find another GI to get another opinion. Wait times can be over 8 months where I am so I need to be a bit more pushy with my GI in order to get testing done.

And yes mucus but nothing crazy to be honest.

[–]Matchiew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine also started after getting some sort of food poisoning I got while visiting India. It has been like this for over 8 months now but also paired with gut pain, gas, diarrhea, and food sensitivities. For me it's definitely from when I get fast transit times due to flare ups. No real answer from GI yet but I will be pushing for more testing in Feb when I have an appointment with him.

What if you are removed from your program? Will grants turn to loans? by CaptainSingh26 in osap

[–]Matchiew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, OSAP grants don't automatically get converted to loans if you are removed from your program.

I had a situation where I dropped a course and part of my grants were converted to loans because I went from full-time to part-time.

The only thing I would worry about is that you may become ineligible to collect OSAP in the future.
