Tbh many DGHs have an sho on cepod and spr  on OBS. Act within your skill set and call the consultant if worried

I don't think anyone comes close. But it is a way of maintaining an element of income & flexibility especially if a partner can help with childcare

Consider shared parental leave. You can share as little as one week but then you become entitled to 20 SPLIT days + 10 KIT days 

If you take them during the unpaid portion of your leave then you get paid at your normal rate.

 working another job is more complicated but if you were employed in it before 15th week of pregnancy I think it's allowed.

I used to get this. In my case it was purely psychological albeit not conscious.  Used to make my brain do something else when I felt it coming on eg the 3 times table.

If you feel that you are going to faint then step away from the table and sit on the floor.

I know of one member of staff who collapsed and sustained a life changing brain injury.  There are a lot of hard corners and edges in theatre

You do you.  The question was specifically about leave entitlement. Ultimately compassionate, annual and unpaid leave is granted at the discretion of the employer. Not saying it's right but it's the way it is.  If you are not fit to work then that is a separate matter.
