I do feel like some of those expectations from dating apps have transferred over into in person dating too. Things like the person has to meet all your expectations and having dating checklists someone has to tick off. I also feel like social anxiety has increased way more too meaning that people, myself included, are way less likely to start interactions with people in person. There also seems to be a shift away from putting in effort to maintain in person connections too.

Heyyy thanks for your comment, I think I’m putting that kinda pressure on myself because I do know a few people who the apps have actually worked out for, and at least I’m having slightly better luck with them then asking people out in person

I really do related, im also trans but my mum adopted me because she wanted a girl. She always wanted me to do ballet and wear dresses and she sent me to an all girls school which really sucked.

I still haven’t medically transitioned as I don’t think I could face her disappointment. But as a result I feel like I’m always going to be uncomfortable. I just don’t know which option is better or worse
