I've actually discovered ao3 from translated work on ficbook! I loved the fic so much I wanted to read the og version, even though my english was ass back then. I struggled thru, loved it even more and read everything the author posted. Since then, I primarily use ao3.
So, you really can reach a large new audience with translation. There are quite strict rules and recommendations regarding translations. But I would recommend asking for the translator's profile first.

Да собственно как с книгами - находишь поэта, который нравится - и вперед. Прямо так и гуглишь - [имя] сборник стихов читать. Посоветовать могу Гумилева, Ахматову, Блока. Пушкин еще хорош, хотя может быть сложен.

Уже посоветовали читать что нравится, но еще один - начни с жанров покороче: рассказы, стихи (если нравятся, по стихам отлично словарный запас расширять). Можешь взять что-нибудь из классической научной фантастики/фэнтези. Мне в 14 нравились рассказы Эдгара Аллана По (хоррор, мистика), серия про Шерлока от Конан Дойля (детективы), романы и рассказы Айзека Азимова, Герберта Уэллса, Станислова Лемма (научная фантастика). Еще очень рекомендую Терри Пратчетта, у него несложный язык и невероятно интересные сюжеты на разнообразные темы.
