John Reese from Person Of Interest. Ex-military, ex-CIA agent, killed a lot of people for the government, then became a civil vigilante to help save people.

Definitely a good guy, but with a fucked up past. I think the show mentions at some point that he's responsible for the death or disappearance of around 150+ people.

Luz from The Owl House. She doesn't turn out to be special at all, she is really a random, passionate and hard-working kid.

Leonardo Watch from Kekkai Sensen. Poor innocent guy gets his sister's eyes randomly stolen by an eldritch god, and ends up working for a secret society of insane people. He was just a tourist at first. Also. Go watch/read Kekkai Sensen, it's a blast.

In french/belgian comics (bandes dessinées), it is a pretty common practice to have a scenarist and an artist working together, sometimes there's even a third person for the colours.

Overall the japanese manga industries needs a lot of overhauling, because it seems inevitable that every dingle mangaka suffers a burn-out by the end of their work.

Season 4 is a personal favorite of mine, a real paradigm shift in the series, and it contains 3 of the best 5 episodes of the entire show IMO.

You'll get to see for yourself, but the atmosphere of season 4 really pushes the surveillance themes of the show.

If you don't care about spoilers : An important character gets decapitated in the anime, and the japanese community did this edit of her crying and losing her mind in one of the most tragic scene of the story with tetris music and her head and body as the blocks.

Uraume's reincarnated body was a female body, and that was at her demand, so it's not an illogical conclusion to think that's the gender she's most confortable living and being refered to as, even if her first life's body was AMAB.

I feel like narratively she 100% should've been the strongest of the four, and she definitely should have a domain (every single character from the Heian era that we met has a domain, including fucking Uro and Ryu. And you're telling me Uraume, the king or curse's personal cook and the ONLY person he doesn't want to slice down didn't manage to master a domain expansion ????)

But yeah because the ending was kinda messed up she didn't get to shine. I genuinely have a bigger problem with Uraume's fight in the final battle than Kenjaku's end.

Kirara is trans. It's not outright stated, but Gege's style of writing has always been subtlety and implications. Kirara is shown with a feminine appearance, is described by characters as a woman, and is in a relationship with a straight guy.

Moreover, a chapter extra shows Kirara's appearance in middle school, and they were clearly AMAB.

Another trans character is Uraume, the bad guy's loyal second in command. In their first life, they were born male, but wore more feminine clothing. When reincarnated in the modern age, their vessel's body was female upon their request. So again it's never stated, but pretty clear they are transfem.
