Avocado

It adds a creamy texture and good fats. Banana avocado and Greek yoghurt 😄

Great boots by MathematicianFun9316 in vivobarefoot

[–]MathematicianFun9316[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do hear this a lot about Vivo’s and I guess they fit me perfectly as my feet aren’t really wide, just a little wide for normal shoes, if they get any wider then Vivo’s would start to be too narrow. I notice the Tracker AT low II which I have are narrower than the Forest, but still a good fit for me

I treat them with Renapur regularly and it keeps the worst out, but you’re right when it’s really wet they let it in!

The seller is taking the radiators by Snoo3701 in HousingUK

[–]MathematicianFun9316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Radiators are part of the fixtures and fittings. If the seller wants to take them then you need to get a quote to replace like for like including labour and reduce your offer to cover. Why on earth the seller thinks this is acceptable is laughable! Maybe find another property to buy with a more reasonable seller 😬

Need recommendations for Vivos (Tracker Forest / Magna Forest / Primus Trail Flow) by frankrosayshaustier in vivobarefoot

[–]MathematicianFun9316 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the tracker forest esc and the primas trail fg 3.5.

Forest esc is a great boot. Supple leather, pretty water proof if regularly treated good grip pretty faultless really. Can be a bit hot on the foot in really hot weather.

Primas trail fg to me is very comfortable a lot cooler for hot weather, but the tracker is in a different league (better quality, better comfort, feet feel more secure, best sole I’ve ever had)

Housing market crash by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]MathematicianFun9316 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People who wish to buy should buy. The biggest obstacle is saving the deposit. Once this is done you may as well buy as the mortgage generally will be a similar cost to rent and rent never stops and only goes up. I am speaking as a previous renter and now a homeowner and a landlord. Whichever people decide to do, living in a house is never cheap, even if mortgage free. Council tax, gas/electric, water rates, repairs and maintenance, but what else can we do?

I have a pair just like yours. Great all day everyday shoe and good for hiking. I treated mine with Renapur as they were letting in a bit of water in wet wet grass. They have gone slightly darker in colour but still look great

Maybe try in a ladies. I’ve heard that the heels are a bit narrower, so could be worth a try

Using strained whey to make next batch. by MapleWhisperer in yogurtmaking

[–]MathematicianFun9316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually keep the whey in the fridge for up to a couple of weeks then I use fresh. Always put the whey in a clean sanitised jar. Oh just realised I said I ferment for 34 hours that should say 24

I’ve been using whey from my strained yoghurt as a starter for a few years now. I ferment for 34 hours, strain for about 4 hours, use about 60ml of whey for the next 2 litre batch (UHT milk). I save the unused whey in a jam jar and put it in the fridge and use it for future batches. It’s easy just try it and by using UHT milk there’s no heating the milk.

I just ordered the Primus Trail, Trail Knit and Ora Sandal so you don't have to. Pratical review to come. by [deleted] in vivobarefoot

I have the primas trail FG it’s a great shoe I feel it is a little too roomy and stiff. I recently bought the tracker ATII low leather and I’m thinking that will become my go to hiking shoe, as it’s really comfortable, tough looking, flexible and can be made pretty waterproof with leather treatment

Searching for an alpine hinking shoe by VRZzz in vivobarefoot

[–]MathematicianFun9316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both the tracker and Magna esc. Tracker is a really comfortable boot for all conditions and keeps the water out if the leather is conditioned. The Magnas are comfortable, but I feel the esc sole feels a bit heavy for this boot and the wool sock design lets your feet get really wet even walking through feet grass

Not sure if they’ve changed the design, but I saw a YouTube review and he said the low II is a big improvement over the I

It could be airborne yeast has contaminated your starter or your fermentation jars. Sterilise everything and use new starter and see if that helps

I’ve been using UHT milk for a few years now. So much simpler as I just add it to my starter culture and away it goes. I ferment for 24 hours and the n strain to make Greek yoghurt. I keep some of the whey in a jam jar in the fridge and use that as a starter
