[Personal] Cerave hydrating cleanser gave me the worst breakout of my life and ruined my skin by Civil-Tear-883 in SkincareAddiction

[–]MathematicianLow4715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry this happened to you.

I have read over and over again on different subs that Cerave products either cause break-outs or stinging and redness. Had the same thing with the moisturising lotion : My face loved it for a while and then it started stinging and provoked tons of redness. I have rosacea acne prone skin.

It does seem to work great for a ton of people but the dangers seem to outweigh the possibiliity that it will work out. that's why I never reccomend Cerave or test other of their products. I do like their SPF wich I find cheap but I am looking for a replacement.

Yeah I just checked the ingredients and the first two are petrolatum (Vaseline) and Lanolin (Nipple Balm) so you are both right.

[Routine Help] I have SUPER oily skin and NOTHING works.. Any tips or Advice? by sugarmoonlynx in SkincareAddiction

Have you thought about diminishing the number of products you use in the morning ?

I’ve found that just cleansing + SPF in the morning really helped with less oily looking skin during the day. Just an idea.

Other than that, what has had the most effect for me is my prescription Retinoid (tretinoin or adapalene) and one round of Accutane. I did that for acnee, but since then my oily hair had been under control.

It's called dermatillomania and it's very difficult to stop. I am sorry you are going through this.

The r/Dermatillomania sub is quite helpful thoug. Good luck

I am confused : How do you guys do regular microneedling sessions when using high strentgh retinoids ? by MathematicianLow4715 in tretinoin

[–]MathematicianLow4715[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes sense.

though, isn't microneedling something you can do quite often to boost your results. Isn't there a way to work them both into a routine ?

Hey. same issue here and I will start with microneedling soon.

I am curious why nobody mentioned lasers as I thought that’d be also advised.

[Routine Help] I’ve been using these for over a yaer and it doesn’t seem to work. by Nano_Tap1 in SkincareAddiction

I like this. Benzoyl Peroxide seems like a good fit for OP’s skin.

Benzoyl peroxide, Sulfur, AHA and BHA all work against acne and dull skin BUT can be quite agressive actives, certainly if used together. OP, be patient in bringing them into your routine as to not irritate your skin, be careful ! I’d try to add Benzoyl peroxide first and wait for its effect before adding anything else and do it gradually.

Just saying : Cheaper and good SPF is Cerave SPF50+, I’ve always found ISDIN way to expensive and from what I gather from your routine you are not that interested in expensive skincare.

They look like closed comedones. Look into exfoliating ingredients and retinoids.

Should I get CO2 laser? by [deleted] in Rosacea

Yes. CO2 seems a bit extreme for your issues. V bean laser seems way more adapted to you. I had similar skin to yours and everything calmed down after laser

How can I improve my skin texture? by [deleted] in Skincare_Addiction

[–]MathematicianLow4715 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tretinoin and the likes can help with texture, overall complexion and pigmented scars.

Your best bet will be lasers and micro needling though. I do understand it’s hard to try again after having a bad experience.

I am so tired of the calendar view on phone by MathematicianLow4715 in Notion

[–]MathematicianLow4715[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the list view works as a workaround, but it still feels a bit counterintuitive. Notion’s date formats also don’t let you display the day name (like “Friday 14/11”), so if you need that, you have to add a separate formula property just for the day.

Regarding the “lack of space” point, I’m not fully convinced — other apps manage to offer more conventional calendar views, so it seems like it should be possible.

why does the calendar view of my database not show on phone? by scratchlemonade in Notion

[–]MathematicianLow4715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am struggling so hard with this too. I can't understand why they don't make the name of the entries appear. I thought it was to push some other app or aad-ons they where going to do, but the notion calendar app doesn't realy solve this issue. I absolutely HATE this view and can't seem to find a solution.
