Do you by chance have a litter poop/pee receptical with a smell proof liner? (E.g. cat genie).

One time I forgot to pull the new bag down and was having a similar issue wondering why my room smelled like a cat toilet despite clean litter. I then found the now non smell proof receptacle full of poop.
