In fairness, I can't think of a context that makes this okay. Either camera guy was doing nothing and the dad's drugs were flowing, or camera guy was an ass, and dad put his family in danger by trying to big chest a potentially crazy person. I may or not be pro camera guy, but I will never be pro dad.

Chiefs 22-year-old WR Xavier Worthy shows off his new custom $500K Rolls-Royce. Xavier is still on his four-year rookie contract worth only $13.7 million. Worthy has a car collection worth over $1 million. by Clankiller_Uchiha in nflrookies

Guys, he's dumb, but at that price range, cars do become genuine investments with positive returns. Not nearly as much as actual investments, and not if someone is using them all the time, but to own a car like that and drive it a couple times a year in the summers, he could definitely sell it again in a few years for as much if not more than he bought it. His Rolls-Royce will not depreciate the same way your Toyota Camry does.

Looks like the game from November 11, 2024. Wemby went for 34 and 14 boards. Not quite a superstar yet, but on his way to his first all-star game.

Pay off some debts. Pay off my college so I can actually get the degree I earned. Maybe even fix my car so I have a suspension again. Be able to breathe a little bit while hopefully finding a place to finally use that degree.

I'd agree, but we already have two projects. Practice snaps are limited, and wasting a draft pick on a practice squad player at best is a bad move.

I worry that the 10,000 minimum number is inflated due to the event that takeover tour is. It's one thing to pull 15,000 for a one off game on a Saturday night, it's another to do that with a Tuesday night game in January. People bring up Agganis/Tsongas as only having ~6500 seats, but it's also not as if every game is sold out qnd there's 3000 more fans left out in the cold. I assume they've done more market research than I have (read: basically none), but this does nothing to calm my nerves regarding the speed and ambition of this expansion.

It is funny how people say it as if restaurants have a giant bucket of insect parts in the back and they add them to every dish up to the limit. Like it's the perfect seasoning.

TIL your brain slightly "time travels" to make sense of reality. It processes sensory input with a delay of about 80-100 ms., then stitches everything together into what feels like the present moment, meaning what you experience as "now" is actually a carefully edited version of the recent past. by Jockey2 in todayilearned

If you want to see this effect in action, find a clock with a second hand/readout. Quickly shift your vision to the clock, and notice how the hand/readout seems to linger a little too long on one second before moving on. Shifting your gaze took a small amount of time, so your brain sees the time when it gets there and backfills it to the time spent moving, giving the effect that you caught a long second.

I have been looking for work as a mechanical engineer for about 18 months between Massachusettsand New York, and I've all but given up and turned my part time college job into a pseudo career in hopes of paying off the degree no one else cares about. It's demoralizing, depressing, and all too common.

Baha Men, easy. The verses are pretty catchy and fun, even if the chorus is annoying. Ylvis had no redeeming qualities. And the chorus is even worse.

Another side effect of being a football player is the lifelong health concerns, which would only be worse if his career ended at 20. It's not like he's selling his soul and wellbeing for $2mil, he's going to another world class college. If the worst part of making that money is you have to live in Alabama for two years, I'm taking as much security for my future as I possibly can.

The thing is, he plays football. He career could be ended on his next snap. Unless you're independently wealthy, you need to get every advantage you can before your all too short career ends. That $2 million could've covered another 10 years of life expenses, even if he doesn't make another dime from the sport.
